A friend and I went here and had a Bianca pizza. It was absolutely delicious! I will go here again as the atmosphere was great and the service was exceptional.

The food is good the sauces don't have alot of seasoning to them. But the food is good or server is really nice and attentive.

I had the local superior whitefish with the pasta with garlic sauce. I would say the whitefish was fresh, but seasoned okay maybe even a bit too light. (Felt it was missing something) The pasta was normal, but not spectacular. Similar to what a store bought one would taste like. The bread was a letdown, seemed like store bought. The tomato soup was awesome though, that was 10/10. Overall, a very average experience and about $47 after tax and tip.

Recommended by many of the locals, this place was a great find for a Tuesday dinner w/ cocktails. Friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Lasagna was the special and it did not disappoint !

The food was really good and absolutely worth it but it's just annoying having to wait 30 minutes for a check after you've already finished all your food.

Stopped in during a brief work trip because I was told that the location was a local staple.

Service was prompt. Seated quickly, server checked on me throughout the meal, and food came out in a timely fashion. I apologize for the following blunt review:

However, the spicy Italian sausage in the cudighi hardly had any flavor. I ordered it because I was told that Gino's makes their sausage in-house, and the sandwich was a UP specialty. It certainly wasn't spicy, and I didn't taste much in terms of other seasoning or herbs, such as fennel seed, garlic, or paprika. Definitely not on par with even a manufacturer like Rinaldi.

The side of pasta I ordered came out like it was intended for a toddler. The noodles were diced up to 2-3 inches, was overcooked, and the sauce was entirely bland. I'd equate it to watered down tomato paste, not a hint of flavor otherwise. The one caveat is that there wasn't a sugary taste to the sauce either. It most certainly wasn't worth the cost.

I'm Italiano, and I can't rightly recommend the food here. I feel like I'd get more flavor out of Olive Garden, even. I certainly wouldn't get diced up spaghetti noodles. I would recommend cooking your pasta at home instead, and if you can't to find a different location for pasta.

Can not recommend for food, especially not for the price. The drinks are probably fine.

Gino’s was absolutely impressive on my visit in with a friend on 9/19/25!

Our server, Megan, made the difference! Her service was unmatched! Our food was delicious! I got the ravioli in garlic sauce and my friend got spaghetti with meat sauce. We split cheesy bread.

I hadn’t been here in awhile despite growing up in the Yoop. It will now be our favorite haunt when I’m up!

We are here five years ago on a visit. Nothing has changed (except for the better maybe). The selection of food is great, all very well prepared, and prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly and efficient. Great meal?

What an absolutely horrible experience. We were in town for my father-in-law‘s 65th reunion at Michigan Tech. He remembers coming to Gino‘s fondly during that time. We decided to go and relive that experience! Unfortunately, we were treated as if we were trash. We were sitting inside and our waitress had many tables outside with more people per table. She never really came to talk to us. When we decided to leave after only drinks, we still couldn’t even get her over to pay. Whoever is managing this place needs to realize that having three different waitresses, waiting tables inside and outside is asinine! They absolutely ruined our experience, and the memory that my father-in-law has for the place. We ended up going to The Library, which was excellent! I highly suggest going there if you’re looking into going to Gino‘s.

On another note. There was another table that was treated as badly as us which made me even more infuriated. The people at the other table was handicapped and couldn’t go and find their waitress. To get any service inside at this place you had to go search for your waitress multiple times (we did this twice). It is unfathomable to me that they would treat a person this way, especially in a wheelchair.

I called to make sure that there was no weight because it is a busy Saturday night. She said it was not busy and I do not have to make a reservation. the hostess greeted us with no smile and pretty much tossedour silverware and menus onto the table. we didn’t get our waitress for about 10 minutes. prior to getting our food, it took an hour and 15 minutes for it to even come out. They said there was a “mix up” In the kitchen, and our food had been ready for a little bit already. Our waitress was nice and apologized for the mixup. Lastly, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. We felt we were getting stared at by the younger hostess. i’m a local and I’ve been here before, I enjoy the outside environment and the food. it might have just been busy, and I understand the workforce.
