“I absolutely loved Detroit Breakfast and will be back!

First off, I love their menu.

I'm a huge seafood brunch guy. While there are many who attempt seafood brunch, few do it well. Even fewer do it well while also being affordable.

Detroit Breakfast is in this rare company. They have shrimp, salmon, lobster, catfish, salmon croquettes available and all of it is a great value. Like possibly the best seafood value in all of Detroit (only other option that come close would be HashbrownCafe and they don't have nearly the variety)

I had the Shrimp and Grits and loved it. I loved it because the Shrimps were large, cooked well and seasoned well.

If you over cook shrimp it destroys the sweetness and texture, and Detroit Breakfast did a great job avoiding this. Most of all though, they made sure the Shrimp had flavor.

Shrimp and Grits isn't shrimp cocktail. The shrimp needs to have some seasoning so it can interact with the grits for flavor.

Detroit Breakfast understood the assignment and made sure the shrimp were nice and blackened, and it made for one of the better iterations of the dish in the city.

Also the grits were buttery and creamy. These were not lumpy grits, thank god.

Detroit Breakfast is a spacious sit down restaurant with a good amount of room per table.

I appreciated that I was able to get some work done rather easily while I ate.

And the service was incredible. My waitress was awesome. Just an extremely pleasant woman who made the morning a lot easier for me with her attentiveness.

If you go east of Mt. Elliot (besides Hamtrammack) there is a shortage of sit down restaurants, and I'm so happy Detroit Breakfast is around.

“I recently tried Rollzz Ice Cream in Windsor and really enjoyed it! I ordered the Neutula Crunch and Kinder Bueno rolls — both were delicious. The ice cream was creamy, full of flavor, and had a great mix of textures. The staff were friendly and made the rolls right in front of me, which was fun to watch. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving something sweet!“

“It’s 18% gratuity on every Dine In Check. The food is always great. I love the different breakfast items . It’s always a great place for breakfast and bottomless coffees . Pancakes don’t come with side but sides are $5 each like bacon and eggs.

Parking: Street parking is okay

Kid-friendliness: My 2 year old had a great time.“

The staff are very attentive to there customers they keep the coffee hot and coming and keep the smiles coming as well.
