Best Mexican restaurant in this area. Food and service are great. But the salsa is so fresh and absolutely out of this world. Great job!!

Steak tacos from the truck outside were delicious. Great service, fast, affordable. Beautiful day to sit and eat tacos at a picnic table.

I've visited many times, always had excellent service and food is fantastic! We regularly visit on weekends to get some carnita meat to take home for the week. Would recommend trying if you love authentic Mexican food!

We came to visit because TikTok told us we should come try it and …. we love tacos! The tacos did not disappoint! They have the only tripa taco I have ever liked. We ordered variety of toppings, did not regret one thing. (Asada, chorizo, shrimp, carnitas, tripa, barbacoa, fish, asada burrito). Shrimp and fish tacos come in a home made tortilla. Service was super friendly and quick! A variety of Spanish music was played and we visited the little in-store market as we waited for our food. Let’s just say we are making garbanzos al vapor later tonight.
The 1hr drive was so worth it. Definitely visiting again!

I've got to say the best langua tacos I've tasted... homemade salsas did not disappoint at all ... will definitely take a weekend 2 hr drive just to visit again

First time here and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the taco special so we could share 6 different tastes. They were all very tasty and so was the margarita. We will be back.

Oh my word is this restaurant fantastic!!! We pulled off the freeway on the way to Chicago to get gas and saw there was a Mexican place right down the road. El Primo has some of the best tacos in Michigan. No joke. We tried Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Camerones, Pollo, Chorizo, and Lengua. Every single one was delicious. Every. Single. One. We had fajitas. They were delicious. And the salsas oh sweet Mary Mother of the Lord.

And the people there are just so nice.

I am a total foodie and have discriminating taste. El Primo is absolutely top shelf. And you would never know it was there. What a gem of a find. Make it a point to stop and dine with them in Hartford. You will be glad you did.

It’s hard to get excited about a chicken taco - they tend to be the overlooked middle child of the taco family. So when I tried the chicken taco here and my taste buds danced with delight, I decided it was worth reviewing. Between my husband, me, and our son, we tried the tacos al pastor, pollo, chorizo, lengua, carne asada, y camarón (shrimp). They were all fantastic. And the salsas! Oh. My. Word. They make a cilantro salsa that is unbelievable.

I’m still not even sure what town we’re in (we got off at the exit for gas and decided to find lunch on a whim) - but I plan to figure that out and come back!

We had the carnitas they were spot on delicious and as we sat eating ours they sold out within th hr of carnitas .. on another occasion we had chiccarones and salsa homemade tortillas pico de gallo none better the food is great a good value and the service you can’t beat ! Definitely recommend coming here to eat . 5 star all the way around !
