Lovely little bar in a cute neighborhood. So cozy to sit by the fire for drinks. They had a great selection of beers and ciders. Server was very friendly.

A few good to great cocktails at pretty reasonable prices. Good staff, great atmosphere, almost no food, great beer list at somewhat high, not well marked, prices... and far too many of them (some as low as 7%abv) served in small (6oz? 8oz?) pours. Wine selection a bit lacking. Decent whisk(e)y selection. For busy events, at least, everything is in plastic which downgrades the experience a bit.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible. One zero entry door into side/event room, but that side room is a step lower than main room with the bar in it, and often no table service, so you better have an able-bodied companion with you or you might not get a drink.

We held our father’s surprise party in their hall and the bartenders were great! It was a beautiful and spacious spot, with additional access to the back patio area. Thank you to the staff for ensuring that we all had a fabulous evening.

I'm not typically a 'reviewer', but last week I had an event at Brew Merchant, and wasn't thrilled. Our entire event was based on welcoming people from across the world to West Michigan and the bartender was not welcoming at all. He may have been learning, but the service was also extremely slow. Brew Merchant knew about our event months ahead of time and what the purpose of our event was as well. I love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll use them for an event again. I know that there has been some staffing turnover and I just hope that the owner realizes what they have lost...

A small place that has a separate area for special events. Did a one-and-done brewery tour and glad I stopped here.

I had a minute to kill while I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to swing on in for a beer. I have to admit they had a much better selection than I was expecting which is great. I decided to try Short's Hopstache and it quenched my thirst on such a warm, sunny day. From the moment I walked in Jesse made me feel welcomed and introduced me to Brew Merchant's. He was telling me about their future plans to build an outside setting to enjoy some nice drinks, and eventually have food trucks on the weekend. I'm looking forward to visiting them again, and if you're in the area I'd recommend coming in for a drink! I'll say is already a great spot to visit, but I am looking forward to spending a nice summer night on the patio once it's ready. Cheers ?

We had a wonderful staff party for our organization at Brew Merchant. The space was beautiful, the drinks were festive, and they went above and beyond with their set up and attentiveness to us!

Shared a libation with my 97 year young mother and my oldest sibling sister..age unknown. Nice, quiet by a gas fireplace...I will not be back...I am sure Sis and Mom frequent the Brew Merchant and it's a great place.

We rented the Merchant hall for a rehearsal dinner this past weekend. It was a very nice place. We had actually never been there, we just found it online. It was perfect, amazing little venue. So cool, we had our private area for ourselves but right through the door into the other room was the bar. We loved it. Definitely a nice little place

This place is smaller but has a great local atmosphere. They have tons of options for drinks. Plus, over 30 beers on tap, which some I have not seen before and I am a beer lover. I would recommend trying this place out. Even has a fire place which makes it so cozy.

Visit was for a private event. Small cozy atmosphere in the main bar section. The private party room was spacious enough to host a decent sized group but small enough that making your social rounds wasn't a chore. Only complaint was the main bar section had a very comfortable temperature and the party room was a significantly warmer (factors such as serving food and extra bodies could have been the case). However, even with the temperature fluctuations in the two different rooms, this was a great venue/bar and we will visit again when in the area.

Happy to see a solid tap-house in the area.*tip for restaurant, add +$1.50 option for poutine cheese curds, the mozzarella is overpowering and less satisfying*
