Chop Shop Primehouse Reviews
The Filet di Mare was a perfect meal. Filet, crab meat, shrimp, potato’s, asparagus over a bearnaise sauce. Excellent!
Holland needed a place like this.
The vibe is eclectic meets intimate. They have a graffiti wall by the bar, but the chairs are cozy, the lights are low and the sound level was perfect.
The bread service is $6 - not included. The sourdough was pretty bland but the rye was very good. Beef fat and duck dust for the spread - it was OK. I like it more on the salty side. This was not.
My BF and I split the Cowboy Ribeye. Definitely a great idea if you know you...read full review
Everyone at our table ordered something different and it was all delicious and well presented. Well trained servers did a perfect job even on opening night. I highly recommend the Chop Shop for a wonderful night out.

Chop Shop Primehouse is a top-tier steakhouse that provides an exceptional dining experience, perfect for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. The food is consistently described as excellent, top quality, and exceptional, ranking among the best. Highly-recommended meals include the Filet Di Mare, the Delmonico steak, and the Ribeyes. While the Delmonico is supremely tender, it can be a bit over salted. Appetizers like the crab cakes and Brussels Sprouts are well executed. The flavorful loaded baked potato, which is twice baked with gruyere and pork belly, is also praised. For dessert, the complementary flourless chocolate torte is a rich, decadent, and bittersweet treat.
The atmosphere is fantastic, laid back, very cool, and has an artistic vibe with unique artwork and statues. The interior is a surprise for first-time diners, being very clean yet small and a little darker than some might prefer. The venue is relatively lively, though the lobby lighting could be better. The location is peculiar and has no apparent signage from the street, which can make navigation difficult.
The service is consistently excellent and outstanding. Staff members provide wonderful care, contributing to a very enjoyable evening. The cocktails, beers, and other beverage selections, such as the Old Fashioned and house-made sourdough served with an her-infused beef tallow candle, are well executed and look very promising.
Prices are not cheap, with a meal easily costing nearly $200, but the experience is worth every penny for a special occasion. Although the food was solid, some diners feel it may not quite justify the price point. There are less expensive options for a less special meal, as well as the potential to spend twice as much on more deluxe options. The restaurant fills a unique niche and comes highly recommended, despite some challenges in finding it and the bathroom setup.
