Our waitress was so rude, no common servers respect at all. We felt so unwelcome like an inconvenience to the waitress. The food was basic but decent. Atmosphere was clean and nice, we would have loved to chill an enjoy our meal but we felt rushed outta there. It was our first time going here and our last. Really was hoping this would be our new breakfast spot since Jackie’s place closed.

Breakfast after fasting bloodwork. No one to greet me but a barely visible sign saying to seat myself. I sat alone for quite a while before somewhat rudely asked if alone and if I wanted coffee by waitress in late 60’s with long blonde hair. Clean table a plus. Coffee hastily brought in carafe and pile of cream/sugar packets literally dumped on my table like I was interrupting her day. Food was basic and edible but expensive for what I got (waffle, 3 sausage links coffee $16). Coffee was weird, it was weak and had fruity undertones. I witnessed another guest walk in and greeted by rudely saying “what do you want?”!! This waitress needs to work on her people skills. Physical atmosphere was boring grey with sparse decoration on the walls but clean. Limited menu. Mostly eggs no special diet choices. I probably wouldn’t come back.

What a nice home style restaurant! The food was delicious and good portions! The server was very kind and attentive and the prices were very good as well. If you're in holland it's definitely worth looking into!

There are lots of good Mom & Pop’s breakfast places in Holland. Going out for breakfast or coffee seems like it’s a cultural pastime here. But Southside Inn offers a solid balance of lower cost than other options without a lower quality of food or service. Table service is offered with a smile. Over the years we’ve pretty much tried everything on the menu. Everything is good. More often than other options, my sons and I tend to order their farmer’s platter, breakfast skillet, or 2 eggs + meat + hash browns + pancakes. Their toast is good (especially the raisin) but please try their pancakes!
