Been eating here every summer we come to the area. Probably 20 years worth! We sit outside with our dog and eat a delicious meal. This time we all had fish. Salmon, perch, walleye, and rainbow trout. Each one was great. Desserts of berry pie, key lime pie and chocolate torte....all awesome as well.
Dana was a very helpful server that made a memorable experience! Our food was good, especially for the price. If you eat at manitou I suggest outdoor seating and choosing the whitefish over the cod if you’re getting fried. They’re both good, white fish is just a superior higher quality fish for the same prIce.
My wife and i came here for our 1-year wedding anniversary tonight. We absolutely loved it! She had the nutty trout and I, the seasonal perch, battered and fried. This place is really in the middle of nowhere - 30-45 from TC, but if you're staying at one if the resorts, campgrounds or B&Bs nearby, the Manitou is a must-visit. The food is outstanding, the service wonderful and the ambience cozy.
