The Nottingham is a landmark for Houghton Lake. We live this place. Pam the bartender is the best. She made us feel so welcome and we had the best time. We have been here several times snd all the bartenders have been great but Pam is the best!
My new favorite Higgins/Houghton bar. Epic dive bar that is falling apart inside and out. Owner Eric, gave us two free drink tokens for helping him remove a roll of roofing paper from his truck. Speaking of the owner, he kept the bar in the divorce. Epic move, and I will always support this bar because bars are better than marriages. Bought a round (4) Johnny Vegas shots for $8. Where does that happen? 6 stars.

Are you looking for a great dive bar to have a few day drinks (or night drinks) before hitting the lake. The service here is great. We've been going here for years. Great pours and even more fun controlling the music through TouchTunes. They don't service food here, but they have some of the best free popcorn around. This is a Houghton Lake staple.
