“Their Halloween haunted house was amazing!! We were definitely NOT disappointed at all! We had to even leave a donation the actors are amazing everyones truly friendly and seem to enjoy their job. We want to go back and suggest everyone go there the price is amazing as well“
“Really enjoyed this place. Sadly, we were there on a Saturday night at 10pm, and only 6 people were in the bar. Very homey, relaxed atmosphere. The waitstaff is amazing! Personable and friendly. “We went to try the shrimp, and we were not disappointed! The place was packed, so we shared a table with a couple we didn't know. Other than that, the shrimp and hush puppies were great. One thing we found that was funny is that we received pealed shrimp while the rest of our table received shrimp in shell. The shrimp in shell tastes 100% better than those without shell - without shell is very salty. So, if given the choice, pick the shrimp in shell. We plan to go again. Next time we're trying the crab legs!!!“
“While the service was excellent and the cook on the food was solid, this long standing restaurant truly needs an infusion of attention to detail. There is so much under-utilized + wasted space, the ambience is non-existent, the amazing charcoal, real fired cooking station is 100% not being utilized to create a destination spot and you would never know that this establishment sits on the water.Someone needs to buy this place, renovate it and create a draw where people will drive 1 - 2 hours in every direction. ALL of the variables are in place to do so.“

“It's my kind of place. You probably are not going to give this a 5 star review however. Cash bar, cheap drinks with plenty of selection, a regulation shuffleboard table, not one but two pool tables, a jukebox with plenty of amps, and a great crowd of regulars. You've got to have an appreciation for what this place was in the 60's Houghton Lake. If that nostalgia doesn't appeal to you, there are lots of "nicer" local bars.“
“Hi Deb. This is Russ. Well I have to say, last night the wings dipped in Frank's was one of my best. Proper size wings, naked and cook good. The blue cheese with chunks in it topped it off. Deep fried mushrooms was a great side. Your staff was very good. Thank you.“
“Are you looking for a great dive bar to have a few day drinks (or night drinks) before hitting the lake. The service here is great. We've been going here for years. Great pours and even more fun controlling the music through TouchTunes. They don't service food here, but they have some of the best free popcorn around. This is a Houghton Lake staple.“
