Loved the local distilled whiskies they had to offer for a whisky flight. The fish and chips were quite good. If anything, the batter could use a bit more flavor but cooked properly and super tender, and the tarter sauce was good as well. I doubt the tarter sauce is made here, but it's good for the fish pallet. My wife's steak came out fat, happy, and THICK. She loved it. The place is a bit behind on some maintenance items (putt putt course was starting to come apart, and bowling lanes and shoes are very dated), however my time at the mineshaft was great and the prices were very fair

I go here all the time and the staff is great. The food is almost always great too. I'm making this review specifically because of the spicy penne I had last time. I would give this place 4 stars but the pasta was that bad. It was noodles in milk soup. I had to take it home and finish cooking it. I'm 9 months pregnant and I went home HANGRY. Make a penne rosa or make a white milk soup, there is no in-between.
