This is the worst experience I have ever had a restaurant. TWO HOURS OF WAITING. Everything was bad. And the waitress tried to rip us off at the end of it all and overcharged us by almost DOUBLE. Food was inedible. Do not go here.

I just had my worst dining experience ever at Victoria's Kitchen in Houghton. It's a busy day, lot of outsiders in town, so I called ahead to check on the wait and was told 10-15 minutes. Finding that reasonable, we arrived between 12:00 and 12:05 (busy time) and it turned out that the wait was shorter than anticipated. We were seated by 12:10; so far, so good. We quickly got our order in and then relaxed. And relaxed. And observed. And wondered. After 90 minutes, people who came in after we ordered had already eaten and left so I tracked someone down to check on our order. We didn't get an explanation (presumably our order had somehow gotten lost in the busyness of the day), but when our food finally arrived the cook/owner came out from the kitchen and chewed us out for complaining, saying that there was no way we had been there for 90 minutes (at which point it had been an hour and 40; even had phone calls and photos texted from inside the restaurant to prove it). So, instead of an apology we got crapped on. It was at this point that I realized that this is no longer a "these people are having a bad day" situation, but rather a "these people are batsh*t crazy and we should never come here again" situation. I cannot recommend Victoria's to anyone.

We came around 10 am for late breakfast / brunch. It’s took almost hour and a half (!) to get food. Friendly staff to refill coffee but unbelievably slow service. Don’t recommend unless you have nothing else to do but sit and wait.

I was very disappointed they put my cinnamon roll in the microwave. They did it twice and the roll was hard as a rock and impossible to eat. I had to throw it out! They should have put the icing in alone to melt and drizzled it on the roll. I won't go there any time soon.

Great for a laid back breakfast (I.e. service is very slow - or at least it was during our visit). Reasonable prices. Nice menu with fresh bakery items. Enjoyed the cinn roll (good size for sharing!). Goodcupof coffee. Just a little speedier would have been nice.

Everything is homemade, and distinctly delicious! Wait staff are so friendly, even the coffee is perfect. The biggest shock is that all of this is SO inexpensive, $25 for 2!!

It was packed so we figured this might be a diamond in the rough. Nope...just rough. Piles of garbage in the corners of the open kitchen, filthy display cases, half the lightbulbs were out, and worst breakfast ever. Don't go here. The health department must be short staffed.

Unfortunately there's no way to give this establishment 0 stars. I may be wrong but it felt very much like we were identified as being from out of town, 50 minutes after ordering, at least 4 tables thst came in after us had gotten their food and we were still waiting. We paid, tipped well and left, hopefully out of towners that come after us may have better luck.

As with many others, I also had the worst breakfast I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The French toast was just soggy toast with a thick layer of burnt egg on it and after ordering coffee 2 times I never got it.
