“First I would like to say the food was freshly prepared in front of us & we had a bit of a wait, but for fresh food I will not complain about waiting!This was my first time here, the food looks nothing like the pictures, however it was very tasty, I was pleasantly surprised!The chicken is juicy, possibly the juiciest chicken I’ve had considering all of the chicken places on every corner & the asked if I wanted lemon pepper in my chicken too(yesss!!) the original sauce really brings out the Cajun flavors in the chicken and they compliment each other perfectly.The honey biscuits were sitting under the lamp for a while and not dripping in butter like I expected, I would probably ask for extra drizzle next time, but still had a nice crust and fluffy inside.The place is a bit run down, not organized & seemingly unclean, but it’s a gas station too, and that didn’t bother me much since I’ve lived in the area forever. I will definitely return!“

“Almost a 5. Staff was friendly, but they overcooked the chicken a little bit. We kept checking to see if was ready, but they kept cooking it and sure enough it was little over cooked, a little dry. It wasn't horrible. So I'm giving it a try again and will see if it doesn't come out so dry the next time around. It's better than the one by 275 at Shell gas station and much cleaner. I'll never go back to the one by Shell gas on Eureka and 275.Edited: I went again and this time the shrimp was overcooked. The tenders were excellent, tender and juicy. But I like shrimp and was sorely disappointed with the shrimp it was dark and they didn't have any honey butter sauce. The best one I've been to was in Hillsdale Michigan, which was my first taste of the place. So all other locations now compare to that one, and unfortunately this one at Star liquor had subpar shrimp. I reduce my rating to a 3.5.“

“Golden Subs is a small, humble spot. The chef serves up some of the tastiest food I’ve had in a long time. It instantly brought back memories of the little “snack” shops we used to visit in the village back in Lebanon.
I ordered the Chicken Sub and the Philisteak Sub, both were juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for comfort food with a nostalgic twist and made with care, I highly recommend this place!“

“Today I finished work at 6:30 PM and needed/wanted to get home quick. I remembered F L C & F is at the corner of Mt Hope and Cedar! I was going to get the Three Chicken Strips, Mac & Cheese and Cole Slaw (?) meal. This meal is awesome with the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce. It is amazing. I decided to get a Burger and Fries with Mac & Cheese instead. This meal was awesome! I'm not on Instagram, or I would give the review there also. Stan out for now.“

“Ordered through Doordash at 10PM on Christmas evening! What a lifesaver. Dark meat chicken is so good. Lightly breaded (if any breading at all). The skin is very crispy and tasty. Ate it with pickled jalapeno and fried pickles. Reasonable price.“
