Horrible experience and robbed to boot. My wife and I ordered 2 spuds , 2 12 inch sandwiches 1 bowl of chilli 2 carrot cake slices. We paid 75 in cash went up the street to get my glasses from America's best and came back about 25 minutes later only to be told our food was already gone? So the order was placed again so we went to the car to wait, while waiting I have difficulty breathing call 911 go to the hospital. 3 days later my wife calls and appears to work it out. I spend 7 days in the hospital. Upon release we attempt to receive our meal ( we were given a VIP ticket) only to be told the only thing we will receive is a cup of chilli a12 inch turkey sandwich and a cookie. Never again. Then the food tasted like crap.

A very quaint deli/sandwich stop along the freeway. A good change up from burgers and chicken sandwiches if you're traveling 94. They don't skimp on portions, that's for sure. A little more attention to detail when wrapping to-go orders would ensure that customers get the same experience on-the-go as those who sit inside. Prices are a little bit higher than what you would expect from a Jersey Mikes or Panera.

Edit: Went downhill in typical Jackson fashion, repeated incorrect orders, cold soup, hard potatoes. Sad because I really liked this place for their first month or so but they settled in and don't really hit the marks they did at first

We ordered Ham and cheese sandwich — but we looked for the cheese — was not there.
Very light on ham ( compare Mcaslister from different town )
The 2nd order grill chicken salad and tortilla soup, they gave a half of small container dressing ! ( 2 of those would be too much , but one would be short , why not just fill it little bit more )
Then the young gentleman walked around pick up the dishes , and asked “ do you want to box it ?”
Wow , dude are you in a hurry ? — I think it was not appropriate to ask if I would put the food in the box while I was still scope it to my mouth ,.
Restaurant pretty nice but the center sitting area would be nice to get more space - everyone went by hit my table .
Sorry to say it but — you won’t know what customer feel if nobody give you honest feedback !!!
I loved McAlister’s when we lived in the south and was so excited to finally get one here in Jackson. Finally went and it was just a huge disappointment. Took forever for our food to come out - 1 sandwich and a half salad half potato. Sandwich was tiny compared to ones we’ve had at other McAlester’s and practically burnt. The salad was beyond wilted and tasted off.
The eating area was pretty empty when we went which was nice except the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk and it was freezing cold!
Sadly this won’t be a go to place for us. Just know if this is your first time having McAlister don’t judge it based on this location, this McAlister just isn’t good.

Had a full size sandwich for $21 dollars, it was half the size of all competitors, it was 3 slices of meat between 6 inches of bread.

Went to the new McAlister's Deli in Jackson Crossing. I was a little skeptical when I first walked in because I did not realize that the customer places the order at the counter rather than being seated. But, my skepticism was soon gone because: every employee in the place had a smile on his/her face and was friendly, professional, and helpful; it was easy to place the order; menu is terrific; prices are fair; food was brought quickly; my chili was excellent; wife's potato soup was good (but could use a little more ham); served on REAL PLATES with REAL SILVERWARE! Employees were always scurrying about asking if customers needed anything, bussing tables, cleaning tables -- just all-around great staff. We also ordered a Reuben sandwich that turned out to be HUGE! We took it and the potato salad home and will end up getting four sandwiches out of it -- it was that big and loaded with corned beef. This is not a place for a romantic dinner -- it is after all a deli -- but it is a wonderful addition to Jackson. I rate it as EXCELLENT!
