Wooden Spoon Reviews
Well I took my family in to have breakfast and was highly disappointed. We didn’t even get a chance to sit because we were told the empty tables were roped off and the only other table available only seats 3 people. We looked over at the couple who was seated at the biggest table with 6 empty chairs and thought that was strange but okay. The vibe we got was that we were not welcomed and before you ask yes!!

The Wooden Spoon is a beloved restaurant in Spring Arbor, known for its delicious and diverse menu. Popular dishes include soups, biscuits and gravy, hamburgers, omelets, and cinnamon rolls. Customers appreciate the fresh ingredients, like the fresh tomatoes in salads and burgers during winter months. The restaurant has a cozy, community-focused atmosphere with a unique touch - a cup counter featuring personal cups used by regulars and collections of license plates and wooden spoons from around the world. Owners Steve and Theresa Tolles have operated this beloved breakfast and lunch spot since the early 1980's, serving delicious and delightful food from scratch, always with a side of neighborly welcome, connection, and goodwill. The food is uncomplicated, wholesome, consistently good, and breezily prepared. The cinnamon rolls and muffins are heavenly and a must-have. The decor is classic road trip Americana, with a slightly-kitschy collage of vintage license plates, road signs, and enameled tin gas station and soft drink signs adorning the walls. The service is always friendly and welcoming, both to regulars and newbies. The Wooden Spoon stands as a defiant bulwark for in-person, human connection, as a gathering place for friends and neighbors, and a de-facto town hall for the Spring Arbor area.
