Brick & Brine – Believe the Hype We visited Brick & Brine to celebrate my wife's birthday, and let's just say—they understood the assignment. Our server, Travis, was exactly what you want in a dining companion: helpful and attentive without hovering like a drone. His timing and suggestions were on point. The night kicked off with warm, freshly baked bread—simple, perfect, and gone faster than we'd like to admit. Our appetizer followed: house-made meatballs nestled in a rich marinara, served with seasoned focaccia points that were clearly doing more than just soaking up sauce. On the drinks front: I ordered a top-shelf smoked Old Fashioned that arrived in a glass cloche, theatrically unveiled with a swirl of aromatic smoke—equal parts performance and perfection. My wife tried two craft cocktails that were both expertly balanced, flavorful, and, in her words, “dangerously sippable.” She chose the brick chicken for her entrée, served with crispy potatoes and green beans. The chicken was juicy, full of flavor, and avoided the dry, rubbery fate that too often befalls this dish. She loved every bite. I started with a wedge salad that nailed the classic—crisp, cold, and generously topped—then went all in on the cowboy pork chop, paired with chimichurri and asparagus. It was bold, tender, and cooked with the kind of confidence that dares you not to finish it (I accepted that challenge). We wrapped it up with a strawberry almond crostata and house-made vanilla ice cream—warm, buttery, and decadent enough to make you momentarily forget how full you are. Thank you, ~Herb

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Brick and Brine. The wait staff went above and beyond to make our special occasion memorable. Everything from rose petals sprinkled on our table, to the menu signed by the staff with an anniversary message, to many of the staff greetings us with “Happy Anniversary “. Delightful. The menu consisted of wonderful choices, and the food was delicious. We will certainly visit this restaurant again.

From out of town as part of our anniversary celebration. First time at the Brick and Brine and we totally enjoyed our dinner. Staff was exceptional, greeting us with Happy Anniversary wishes, providing a special anniversary menu signed by each staff member, and seating us at a table adorned with rose petals. Food presentation was very good and my wife loved the scallops. I had the beef tips but thought the sauce a tad sweet but the meat and pasta were very good. Our waiter (Travis) brought us a champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries bonus. But kept in mind I had only ordered a Coke to drink so made my a non-alcoholic version. A nice observation that many other servers might not have caught. He also went out of his way to do the little things, like offering to validate our parking and taking our picture. We left as the muscians were getting ready to play so can't comment on that, but I would highly recommend the Brick and Brine especially for your special occasions.

Simply the finest restaurant in Kalamazoo. The menu, the service, the drinks, the ambiance is top notch, and equivalent to what you would find in a big city. The bartenders are fantastic, highly knowledgeable, and so friendly and funny. The service is excellent as well.

The GM ruined my new years. The servers and the staff were great. He made me sit down during a dance party and turned my friends and family away when the place was basically empty.

Food was okay, but what really made our time a treat? Our server Dan! He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and accommodating throughout our meal. 5 stars for Dan :)

Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating for those with food sensitivities. Our party had gluten and dairy sensitivities and they worked around both.
Parking: Parking is in the radisson lot across the street. A little walk, but plenty of space and the restaurant validated it. There is a valet option that uses the radisson staff for $10.
My hubby booked us dinner reservations for our 15th wedding anniversary and was AMAZING! The staff & service was GREAT! The staff signed the back of our menu, we received a free dessert. Since it was our first time dining there we asked our server what she recommended & she recommended The pressure fried chicken dinner for me and the lamb Ragu for my hubby. She was spot on because both dishes were super delicious. We had the best time, love the ambience which included decorated Christmas tree. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.
