. I didn't choose this place. Four of us took a break from work and met another colleague at the restaurant. It's pretty basic. The buffet items are extremely limited. The best item was the green beans and even they were dried out and overcooked. By myself, I wouldn't go here.

This isn't the fanciest restaurant, but you will get incredible food. We love their totally reasonably priced lunch buffet and truly enjoy ordering off of the mysterious and DELICIOUS Szechuan menu. I can't vouch for their more typical Chinese restaurant type dishes (because that's not what we are there for), but I recommend you bring your sense of adventure and ask for the red menu. If you like complex flavors and spice you are not likely to be disappointed. Make sure to order their fresh cucumbers with garlic (cold) to accompany your meal. We love the Szechuan style hot and sour soup, double cooked pork, and stir-friend Chinese vegetables as well. You can also count on some lovely people to help you out.

The hostess was friendly. The waiter was friendly but did not know anything on the menu. Received the bill and we were charged more than what was written on the menu. Told the waiter and the manager/owner that we were charge wrong, and she told us that the menu was 6 yrs old. Noone told us until we got the bill. They are doing false adversement and charging people more. The manager said she would but she only change one of them. In the end, we didn't want to complain and left. We are not coming back, I wouldn't recommend going to this restaurant bc they're charging people more on what is actually on the menu is very shady business. I would recommend going to Hunan next door at least you'll get charge of what's on the menu, the food is way better, and better waiter/waitress.

the most authentic chinese food in kalamazoo! my parents and I have been hankering for some tasty chinese options, and Chuancai Fang satisfied that craving. they have a wonderful mix of spicy and non spicy options. the prices are super reasonable, and it’s great because there are soo many dishes to try!

Dan Dan noodles were made of spaghetti and portion is so small. Better go to Hunan Gardens for their dan dan.

Genuinely one of the best eating experiences of my life. Zhong's Spicy Dumplings were unlike anything else I've ever eaten, best dumplings hands down. The Dan Dan Noodles showed me the meaning of life and the Sichuan Chicken put me on the path to enlightenment.
