Fantastic meal everybody in our party enjoyed the dinner and drinks. We had a wide selection of food in our party and everybody enjoyed it even my grandkids. Great place to eat

The cucumber salad as fresh and crispy with a light and clean flavor. The Seafood Mare was an abundant plate of shrimp, mussels and scallops. Came out hot. The Calabrian Vegetables over pasta was amazing. The wine list was fairly versatile and priced affordably. The Picpoul at $30 was fresh and paired perfectly with both entrees. Doubt if we ever pass through Kalamazoo again but if we do this is our spot.

The food was so delicious. I had the Feta Bruschetta and Cream Chicken & Polenta. So much flavor in both dishes. The Hummingbird drink was amazing as well.

Honest Review! The other reviews hyped this place up way more than they should have. The service was not great. The waitress had only been to our table to take our order and then was gone until we were done and had been done eating for awhile. Another waitress luckily brought our food and gave us one refill. Finally, after we were all done with our food and had been sitting there for a while waiting on her, ready for the bill, our waitress came back and gave us a carafe of water. The timing of service was way off and would have been better if she assigned someone else to check on us while she was gone. As far as the food, cheese bread was good, so was the pesto burrata. The pizza was not good, it looked and tasted like a frozen pizza, main contributor was the marinara sauce ( yuck). The house made sausage was good. Chicken piccata and cudigi pasta were good. Presentation was good. Overall it was average, not something I would jump up and down and tell people to go out of their way for.

I took my daughter and grandson for an authentic Italian meal and my grandson was very impressed. Despite loving chicken parmesan we convinced him to try the gnocchi instead. You can get chicken parmesan in other restaurants but the gnocchi you can't. He loved it and had tiramisu for dessert. Great experience. Very casual and pleasant Saturday evening with my family.

We had our rehearsal dinner catered there this past Friday it was excellent. The food was fantastic. The chicken Parmesan is to die for and don’t get me started on those cannolis probably the best I’ve ever had! Thanks for the great food and service. We appreciated it, the Guido family.

Attentive service, incredible food. It felt like the entire staff was working together to make sure every table was cared for. Comensoli's has a high level of hospitality that you can't find anywhere else in Kalamazoo.
Excellent goat cheese appetizer, Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Parmesan, beef dinner and clam dish. Wonderful service even when the place was super busy. Delicious carrot cake and cheese cakes! Overall an outstanding night out. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Little flavor and scallops are way under cooked. Cesar salad was wilted like it was pre prepared and sitting out. The meatballs were gross !!!

Normally I don't write reviews but doing this in hopes of management fixing things. My family and I went in for our reservation and were put in a dark back room with wobbly tables and a dirty atmosphere. Waiter took forever to get our drink order and took even longer to return with drinks. I wanted to walk out but my family wanted to stay as we already put in our drinks and it was my sons birthday (not much else decent open on Sundays). After the food was delivered server NEVER came back and with being stuck in a back room by ourselves couldn't even flag down another server. Poor all the way around. Service was terrible, I would be embarrassed of the atmosphere in that back room if I were the owner and food underwhelming. We were going to go back with friends later in the month but will not be returning until I see better reviews.
