We love the quaint atmosphere and the menu, though not extensive, has a thoughtful collection of appetizers and entrees. The food was excellent and well presented. The wine list was relatively small, but again, the selections were well thought out and our red burgundy was fine. We think it is the best restaurant in Kalamazoo and will always seek it out when we are visiting from California.
The service is always great here! The flank steak was amazing. The salmon was not my favorite. The scallops and risotto were amazing! They were out of my favorite the mussels. The Walnut brownie was so good too. Overall love this place!
We had an excellent meal at Rustica. Creative cocktails were a great start. The lamb shank fell off the bone, the duck was expertly prepared. The toffee pudding dessert was amazing. Service was all business, not overly warm. The restaurant has done a great job of incorporating sound attenuating materials in its design so that you can talk at a regular level and not hear others' conversations. Lighting was also really nicely done. A very comfortable and relaxing experience.
