Review of Toba Sushi and Grill
The food here was great, but our waiter Ryan Johnson completely ruined the experience. From the moment we walked in, he harassed us about tipping before we even sat down, and after the meal he aggressively demanded a 20% tip, even trying to charge me for a bill that wasn’t mine. When we refused, he chased us out of the restaurant yelling not to come back. His behavior was hostile, unprofessional, and felt racially motivated — he didn’t...read full review
Review of Toba Sushi and Grill – Waiter Ryan Johnson
As soon as we walked into Toba Sushi and Grill, our experience was ruined by our waiter, Ryan Johnson. Before we even had a chance to sit down, he immediately started harassing us about tipping, which felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable.
The food itself was amazing – fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared – but unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed it. Throughout our meal, Ryan was rude...read full review
I was so excited to find your menu online. I am always in the neighborhood and craving sushi, however I can’t eat anything with shellfish and I don’t eat anything rawr. So that makes things limited for me, however I found they had my favorite roll the Diablo roll! I was thrilled, went and picked it up and it was beautiful, it was so delicious. The service was great! 10/10 would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!
Will be back soon!

Toba Sushi and Ramen provides a welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy watching sushi being made. The restaurant features clean and cute ambiance, although the small signage can be easy to miss. Prices might seem high, but the portion sizes are generous, particularly the $15 Ramen. It is also kid-friendly, offering items specifically for children. Many customers travel long distances for date nights here, consistently praising the delicious food and friendly service. The staff is very polite and accommodating, and diners have enjoyed items like the salmon sushi platter and Udon bowl. However, some experiences have varied; while the food is generally well-liked, there have been occasional issues, such as hair found in a sushi roll and a disappointing octopus balls appetizer. Despite this, the owner is known for going above and beyond to rectify situations, impressing diners. Overall, Toba Sushi and Ramen offers a good experience, and many customers express their intention to return.
