Ty's Joint Reviews
Food was awesome. Service was horrible. Ended up being there for 1.5 hours. Girl taking orders appeared to be new. Screwed the order up, didn't give us cornbread with the two entrees. Only brought out one order and the other took additional 30 minutes. Then told the group of five after us that they were all out of cornbread. Service was so bad, i would never consider returning. What a shame, cause the food was so good.
Great food. Good service. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely stop in.
Just waited for an hour for a take out and half our order is missing so we got cheated out of about $25 and won't ever be back

Ty's Joint is a renowned black-owned restaurant where the owners pour their heart into creating delectable dishes. The dining experience is enhanced by the lively atmosphere, with a soundtrack of old school and new school music from the black American culture. One of the standout menu items is the Lake Perch, which customers have praised as superior to Ocean Perch.
Ty's Joint is known for its delicious food that keeps customers coming back. Customers have raved about the perfectly cooked steak that melts in their mouth, as well as the generous portions of the children's steak, chicken, and shrimp meals. The gumbo greens were a hit, and Ty's hospitality has been praised. The fried chicken is a crowd-pleaser, with its crispy and flavorful exterior, and the collard greens, yams, and potato salad provide comforting and well-executed side dishes.
The restaurant also offers a unique sandwich called the "Chi-town Trav," a fried catfish sandwich dipped in hot honey. Customers have described the setup as clean and organized, with seating available and convenient parking in the rear. The owner has been praised as a "dope guy," and customers are eager to try the daughter's restaurant as well.
