We found out mid- meal that they will be closing. The food taste and quality were disappointing. The value is not there. Service is still good but it did not make up for a bad meal.

Y'all. This is why we eat out. I've had a ton of meals out. My wife has, too. We both agree that the culinary adventure we just enjoyed was our favorite meal we have ever had. The restaurant week menu was perfect. We split the following:Ally's meal:- Corn chowder with duck fat, pop corn, chive oil and sriracha seasoning - Chicken scallopini with pan roasted airline, roasted red pepper cream, garganelli, burrata, prosciutto, parmesan and basil- Brownie sundae with 72% chocolate, rye flour, candies pecans, salted carmel and vanilla gelatoMy meal:- Spinach salad with lardons, local blueberries, warm balsamic, focaccia croutons and parmesan- Hanger steak with grilled local mushroom, truffle vinaigrette and Yukon whipped potato- Panna cotta with buttermilk, Tahitian vanilla bean, local blueberries and almond pralineAt the end of the date, Ally and I realized that I like during most dates, we hadn't talked about hardly anything. We spent our whole meal oohing and ahhing over how great everything was. This meal is one we won't ever forget. Great job, Zazio's and Webster's!

As soon as my husband and I finished our restaurant week dinner here this evening, we started scheming about how we could potentially reschedule plans for the next few days in order to get back and have exactly the same thing a second time. Transcendent! Downtown restaurant week typically takes place earlier in the summer, but with the Corona virus crisis was pushed back to the fall. It's a great opportunity to sample some of the best dishes at our local hot spots on a budget. Zazios and Webster's -- The Radisson Hotels's two fine dining options -- have both been operating out of the Zazio's space since the Covid crisis began so you can order from both menus in the same space, which we liked. My husband ordered the corn chowder for his starter (I definitely liked the look of the seasoned popcorn atop the bowl, but he said it didn't really add much to the dish), while I opted for the spinach salad with fresh grated cheese, blueberries and lardons (picture the best bacon you've ever had but in a cube kind of like a meat crouton). Phenom. Both of our entrees were lick-your-plate incredible. Andrew got the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and freaking phenomenal miatake mushrooms, and I opted for the salmon served over twice fried potatoes, broccolini, and a caper salsa. All the flavors and textures were exquisite together. Having read the menus online, I was not especially looking forward to the dessert course, but both of us were incredibly pleased with what we got. My partner selected the blueberry panna cotta (a crumb topping really gave it some great texture), And I opted for the brownie dessert served with salted caramel, candied nuts, and vanilla gelato. I'm really not a brownie person, but this one was so doughy and rich and paired so well with all the toppings that I was a convert. I only wish it had come with a little bit more of the vanilla gelato because once the creamy component was gone the brownie by itself was a bit too intense for my palate. The service was extraordinary, and the people watching along the downtown Kalamazoo walking mall is always fabulous. We were so thrilled we were able to score an outdoor table. You may see me right this exact same thing again on Friday or Saturday night. Truly the most memorable meal we've had all year.

Somehow in all of chaos that's taken the restaurant scene with Covid-19, Zazios has reclaimed its spot as one of the top restaurants in the Kzoo culinary scene. Zazios has tried a steak concept before but combining with the recently opened and now shut Webster's, Zazios is serving up a tight menu of food and expertly cooked meat. The Caesar salad comes generously dressed and goes heavy on the worchestire/anchovy note which I love. It also featured some super fresh tomatoes that worked well with the salad and were great for the season. I have to mention the focaccia served to the table which came with a delicious truffle honey butter. We decided to forgo a main pasta and went for steak. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare, with a nice crust. Served with fries, it can easily be split by two people. It also features a really nice acid forward bearnaise sauce that I dipped everything in. The filet was expertly cooked and seasoned as well. We also tried the mac and cheese side which was incredibly good. Excellent cheese notes and super creamy - I'd order 2 as a main course. Lastly an unexpected surprise as Zazios happy hour runs till 7pm. This is great as they have many cocktails for half price, quite the bargain!

Had a terrific evening at Zazios and enjoying the outdoor Kalamazoo Mall! I absolutely would recommend checking this place out, and trying some of their unique dishes. I was really surprised (in a good way!) With how much I liked the pork with fruit, basil, and feta cheese. And the dessert was absolutely incredible. Thank you for all of the hospitality and local advice, Steve (the outdoor waiter)!

All our food was bland (lack of seasoning) and the chef doesn’t understand the difference between medium and well done. Extremely disappointed.

A beautiful Friday evening in downtown Kalamazoo recently dining at Zazios on their patio. I love that you can make a reservation on their patio, a lot of places it is first come. Super impressed with their cleanliness. The waitstaff even changes their gloves after they bring your drinks and entrees. Zazios and Websters have combined operations temporarily, which is really nice as you get the best of both restaurants. We each ordered a pizza. I had the Quatro, which was delicious, along with a salad. D had the sausage & peppers pizza. The Caesar salad was so fresh. And of course our wine was top notch. I love dining in Kalamazoo and am so happy that Zazios offers a safe place to dine during this time.

Steve excelled in making certain we were happy with our meal and provided quick attentive service and a bonus bowl of blood orange sherbet!

The patio experience was excellent! We had pizza, salads and the seafood risotto. My white sangria was fruity, refreshing and just sweet enough. Tiago was attentive and did a very good job. Our only recommendation would be that the servers ask if we would like separate checks.

Absolutely delicious meal! We both loved our meals. The atmosphere was great. Our server Erica was amazing she was on top of everything always checking on us making sure we didn't need anything.
