“We love speciation!! So much so, that my now husband and I went on our first date there. So when it was time to find a wedding venue, we reached out to see if it was possible to host it at Speciation. Thankfully Mitch and the crew said yes, and we had literally the best party ever.

When I say working with the specation team for our wedding was a breeze, I mean it. Any questions I had was answered quickly and with detail. The day of the wedding Jane and Carly took such good care of us and all of our guests. They handled our crew with grace and everyone had a great time. We were able to get into the venue early to do all the set up so that we could have a few hours of peace before the big day started. It was a beautiful space to have our wedding and we are so thankful we did.

We also choose to have the team make us a wedding beer. We got to chat with Mitch for the ideas we had and he brought them to life. We went with a hot toddy inspired beer. They even let us submit our own label for the beer. It was a great gift for our guests, to have on tap during the wedding, and have some extras to drink in our first year married.

The menu is refreshingly simple, offering a selection of tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and chilaquiles, but it’s all you need. The tortillas are handmade, and the meats are full of flavor, tender, and juicy. Tacos come with the traditional toppings of chopped onions and cilantro, and let me tell you, no taco is complete without its perfect companion – salsa! “Myrth was a great experience! My partner and I went right at open on a Sunday. We were basically the only ones in there, which is surprised for how cozy it is. We had a Holland Harbor mocktail to start and it reminded me of an adult Hi-C! Very good! We ordered a Margarita Pizza to split at an Appetizer. The pizza was very delicious and the crust was soft and flaky. Sometimes wood fired pizzas can have a tougher crust, but this one was great except for a little softness in the middle where the oils and things pooled. It just made the first bite a little difficult, but the rest of the slice was killer! Next, we ordered two pasta dishes. My partner ordered the Radiatore. I have to preface that most of the time when we eat Italian and I ask my partner how the noodles are, they respond with "Okay" but Myrth managed to get a "Very Good" out of them! The sauce was super good. I ordered the Penne with Fennel Sausage and I took was impressed. The red sauce was light and very tomato forward. The sausage chunks were delicious. For dessert we had a Cappuccino and a scoop of Chocolate Sorbet. The chocolate sorbet was super chocolatey and dairy free which was awesome. It definitely curbed any sweet tooth that we had after dinner. The cappuccino was very good as well. I had never been asked if I wanted sugar in my Cappuccino before, and I panicked and said no. What came out was a very delicious, but not sweet drink. In the future I would order it with sugar to get that traditional Cappuccino feel. It was awesome I had the choice though! Our meal and tip was about $110 overall. Very affordable in comparison to eating at Olive Garden where I would spend the same amount of money and get very lack luster Italian food. The price and quality of the entire Farm to Table local Michigan Products made Myrth an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be coming back.“

“Five stars! We ended a week of camping with a vehicle delay on our way home and stopped for lunch at Big Bob’s while my husband took the truck to get fixed. First of all, the food was amazing (our son said the deep dish was better than Giordano’s). But more importantly, Rob and his staff took were beyond hospitable to our 3 kids and I as we spent the next 5 hours utilizing their Uno cards, Connect Four and enjoying their complementary popcorn. If you’re ever in the Grand Rapids area we highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back next time we come through Grand Rapids.“

I love trying new brew and food and my my... the deviled eggs were made and presented in such a way I haven't seen deviled eggs before. I tried the pork slider and it was to die for?
I liked the cute urban atmosphere. Sarah was the first employee to walk up to my table as I had one other guest with me. She came up so quick I love the attentiveness. Then next we had Michelle approach us with a big ol smile that made me smile. At that point I wasn't sure who our server was and didn't care I loved the energy already. Morgan turned out to be our waitress and she's so sweet. Great service, tips/help on the menu for taste of savory and brew. She did wonderful trying to mark where my taste in ? was and brought out samples to my liking. Except one lol but that one was out of curiosity on my own. On top of that, I wasnt having a great day and stepping out to try new grub and ? with good company made me feel better, then Morgan being attentive, thoughtful and courteous in all ways made my evening much better.
