Darrel's Steak & Seafood

A group of 15 senior ladies most between 75 & 85 booked our Christmas Party last Friday night. The room was very cold when we entered and asked to have the heat turned up. Not long after we realized nothing had changed, we checked the thermostat and it read 60 degrees, we were freezing. Complained again, management kept coming in to check it and said they turned it up, it must not be working, however she mentioned they thought about putting a space heater in the room, which means they did know before we got there that it was not working. It stayed at 60 all evening. The manager came in and apologized, that did not warm us up at all. When asked if they would give us a bill adjustment or a dessert she said she couldn't do that.
Of course she could she just refused to do so.
Obviously we will not be booking another party there and many of us said we would never come back. The food was great and the waiters were very good. Guess management takes the blame for this one. A week earlier we had a going away party at
Knapp's and it was great food and service and we were warm.

We went here tonight for our 51st anniversary. Atmosphere: It was cold in there and we both had long sleeve sweaters on. Lights were bright, music loud, no tablecloths. That's ok for a diner but not a "high end restaurant ". Our wait staff, Jacob, was excellent. Very polite and his service was very good. I like the fact that you could get a 6 oz or 9 oz pour of wine. Food: We were given 2 rolls. Chewy as if they were microwaved to heat up. Very poor salad. Lettuce, ALOT of red onion and an anemic piece of tomato. Salad can be updated Very easily. Croutons, a little cheese, any other vegetables. Salad was also small. I had the fried shrimp which was excellent. 7 pieces. My husband had the 18 oz rib eye which was cooked perfectly. We both had mashed potatoes. Small portions. Mine were luke warm but my husband's were hot. We asked for 2 more rolls which were better than the first 2. Suggestions: better salads, more generous with rolls or breadsticks, larger sides, possibly some broccoli with entree. For the price, the portions were too small. We are 70 years old and have eaten at multiple restaurants. We were full but any younger person may have an issue with the portion size. We will not return there.

First time there since it changed to Darrel's and we were impressed with the food.
Steaks were cooked just right, cake cake had a great flavor and the perogis were excellent.
Chicken gumbo has a little heat to it and the mushroom and steak soup was amazing.
Calimari could have been a little crisper, had some oil on it, but good taste.
Excellent drinks, a little small.
Would recommend and will return.

Food is amazing, service is excellent. A cozy, relaxing vibe with food that always exceeds our expectations.

Pleasant surprise! Looks mild mannered and reasonably priced, but the food was fantastic! I went here for the first time for my birthday and I couldn't have been more pleased. I'm super excited for the next visit.

I almost don't want to write this review so that I can gatekeep this spot.
Food was great, price was even better. I'm going back for Thanksgiving and my birthday in a couple months.

Kid-friendliness: Saw plenty of teens but no kids under 10.

Decent place. A little pricey for filet and lobster ($56), but at least you get two lobster tails. They should allow the option of getting an 8 oz or 6 oz filet to give people more eating and pricing options. Salad options were good. Atmosphere was good. Worth a visit.
