I love the depot, it's a very sweet little store that's been there a long time. Unfortunately, the disgusting chain store, dollar general came in across the street and is taking so much of its business. The Depot is one of a dying remnant of the past, wooden floors, screen door. It used to have all the usual products you'd find in a little country store. It's paired down somewhat because of dollar general. They have great pizza and I think the ice cream shop...
Friendly hometown staff and GREAT pizza, subs and sandwiches. Excellent selection of products at a fair price. A great stop when you're heading north to Traverse City or beyond.

I stopped in on a Sunday during the slow season and was pleasantly surprised by all the recent renovations they've made to spruce up the store. The new shelving looks much more modern and organized, creating a better shopping experience overall.
