Just a wonderful place in a wonderful location. Only suggestion, turn the porch lights down after a certain time, maybe 10 or 11p. They are just TOO bright to sit out there when you're trying to wind down from your day. Overall, a wonderful place.
Had such a wonderful stay at Lakeside Inn! It was the perfect spot for a little weekend getaway in such a beautiful area. There are so many different rooms to choose from, it’s going to be hard to decide which one to book next! We stayed in one of the rooms with a jacuzzi and it was so nice and relaxing.

I stayed here just one night for the first time and it was wonderful, I wish I lived closer (Utah). The bed was very soft and comfortable for me. The hotel is super cute and I loved the old school feel. Staff were very friendly and I was greeted with a very happy welcome!! Walking distance to the beach was nice and I really enjoyed sitting at the frog pond in the evening drinking some of the provided tea and watching the squirrels & bunnies. I hope to make it back one day :)

The inn provides a relaxing and cozy atmosphere, especially within its great room and the charming ballroom featuring a beautiful stone fireplace. Some accommodations, like the 11 Gables House, are well-outfitted for cooking gourmet meals, with innkeepers happy to supply any needed extras. Even during a winter storm, the inside of the inn proved to be the epitome of cozy.
The front porch, with its rocking chairs and porch swings, offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the soothing sounds of Lake Michigan. Guests frequently mention ending their nights by a cozy fire on the main floor. The historic hotel is described as a romantic jewel, with welcoming folks who are always ready to help. Visitors consistently leave feeling refreshed and revived. While some rooms can be a tad chilly at night, the availability of hot water for showers helps counteract this.
