Last dined at Skips in January 2026 , let me say this , first biggest complaint is that after looking at my credit statement I saw that they tacked on an extra $20 charge on my credit card without my permission , after questioning them they did remove the charge , second the food was fair at best , I ordered the Walleye which I'm not sure it was even Walleye , it tasted and looked more like Tilapia ( 2 small filets ) , wife had the Salmon which she said was just ok . Skip's Restaurant and Catering offers top-quality, incredibly tasteful food that is worth every penny. The steaks, cooked to perfection and very tender, are a highlight, along with the Sea Scallops and Prime Rib cuts that are done perfectly. The Alfredo Chicken is surprisingly light and creamy, and the tempting dessert tray is a must. Many guests enjoy the prime rib, which is delicious and perfectly cooked medium/pink. The interior has a cozy, old-school vibe with friendly and knowledgeable staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The place is comfortable and relaxed, with good drinks and excellent service, though wait times for the check can be a bit long. Despite the high prices, the unpretentious glamor and classy service give a homey feeling. With 50 years of experience, Skip's executes everything well, making it a memorable spot that feels like a blast from the past in the best way.
