Absolutely delicious. This place is a hidden gem. We tried a little bit of everything -- all amazing. The ropa vieja is a must, but we really enjoyed it all. Kind, attentive service. The owner also came out and was very kind. This place is definitely worth a stop. I'll be back!

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to try the food after reading the reviews. The interior is clean and inviting. The waiter was right over with menus and water as soon as we sat down. The menu is full of delicious options that all sounded amazing. Two in our group tried the Cuban sandwich and I chose the ropa vieja. We all shared a bean and cheese along with a chicken and cheese empanada. All the food arrived hot and was amazing. We all had a great time and will definitely be back to try the breakfast menu. The staff is some of the best that we have experienced lately. Thanks for the wonderful service and terrific time that we all enjoyed.

A friend told me about this new restaurant in my old neighborhood, so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. My food was overcooked, almost burnt, and it didn’t reflect the authentic Cuban flavors I know and love after nearly 20 years of being married to a Cuban.

I’ve also heard the weekends can be noisy and disruptive to the neighbors. I wanted to support this place, but it just wasn’t worth my time or money.

This was a great experience! The food was wonderful with generous portion sizes. Everyone working there was super friendly and you could tell the truly cared about our experience. I always love supporting a family owned business and I will be back. A highlight of the night was the amazing Mojito's, one of the best I've ever had.

Some of the best food I have ever had. An absolute hidden gem. We had the Cuban sandwich and the ropas vieja, and both were incredible. I’ve had a fair amount of Cuban food, and this was the best I’ve ever eaten. Staff were extremely friendly, cannot recommend enough.

I only had the empanada because the food was way too expensive. This is my first Cuban restaurant in MI so I don't know how prices are up here but in FL everything in this menu would've been half the price. I had the corizo and cheese empanada which was good but you could tell it was not freshly done it wasn't even that hot, my brother had the ham and cheese empanada and he couldn't even finish it, it was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted.

I've been here twice so far. Both times the staff had been extremely nice. The food is delicious. Their empanadas are some of the best I have ever had. While the exterior of the building doesn't look like much, the interior is very clean. This place is a hidden gem.

My fiancé and I just ate at La Mulata and we had a great experience. The food is incredible and the atmosphere transported me back to my trip to Puerto Rico. We will definitely be coming back again to enjoy another delicious meal!

Just stopped in for lunch and empanadas. Blown away by how good the food was. The best I’ve had since actually being in Puerto Rico. Also the service was great and the owner is very nice.
