I loved it! When you get there you're truly not expecting what you are about to get. Super cute inside with very friendly staff (not sure if family owned) inside. Everyone was just so sweet! For my English speaking friends scan their Spanish menu, they have they traditional Cuban sandwiches, and that thing just smacks!!! Me encantaba todo gracias muchísimos por su hospitalidad.

their food is the BEST!! everything, I have not had a dish that wasn't 10/10 they make the best flan too
This nascent Cuban restaurant was brought to my attention while visiting 517 Coffee. The restaurant is a work in progress, but great food and great service go a long way. I can easily overlook the minor flaws with a starting business. I enjoyed the tacos quite well. I think the patio has a lot of promise. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. The people were so nice, and I know they are doing their best to get even better.

Phenomenal Cuban food. I got the Ropa Vieja and it was phenomenal, cooked to absolute perfection. If you want authentic Cuban food at a reasonable price, this is your spot. Owners are also some of the nicest people ever and they greeted our table personally. If you’ve never tried Cuban food, make this restaurant your first choice!!

Service, food, atmosphere 10/10 this is a very underrated family owned business with the most amazing food. The drinks and especially the food. I couldn't just try one thing I had to get more and everything I tried was amazing. If you are looking for a nice reataraunt to go with your family this is a 5 star reataraunt you won't forget!

We stopped by this restaurant on our way home from Muskegon to Novi, and I’m so glad we did. I always appreciate authentic, family-run places like this. At first, I was a bit unsure when I saw the building, but as soon as we stepped inside, I knew it was going to be a great experience. The owners—a lovely husband and wife—have created such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic! We had the Ropa Vieja, Pollo Ripiado, chicken flautas, and tacos—everything was absolutely delicious.

I’m so happy we finally made it there for Lunch! The Cuban sandwich was huge and the pork was incredible. My girlfriend had the Pollo en Salsa and it was somehow better than my sandwich. Weeach had a delicious coffee drink. For dessert we had the house made guava and cheese as well as the coconut empanadas which were to die for. I’m not normally a person that does reviews but I will certainly become a familiar face at La Mulata!
