Closest thing to a dance club in Lansing and that’s not even mentioning the great food, prices and people! The only suggestion I would have is to please open another in Haslett as the drive is worth it but far 🙂

Bought empanadas to go. I was pleasantly surprised by how full of meat they were. The disappointment came in the taste and texture of the dough. My husband and I both thought the problem was that they were cooked in old grease;(. Great service when we picked them up..

I always passed by and always wanted to stop but never did. Today, I’m out shopping and a friend calls me and tells me to meet them at this new Cuban place “La Mulata”. I head up there and am immediately met w a delicious dish as soon as I walk in. So tasty. Tried a few things off the menu and was definitely not disappointed. Gabriella was our server and she was very nice and pleasant. Then the owner came out and she was so nice. I can’t wait to make it back again and try some other dishes. 10/10 will definitely be back

its such a cute shop ! the rice and beans and the tostones were great but the empanadas were a bit soft and it looks like tbey used mexican blend shredded cheese in the guava empanada and i did not like that, it didnt even fully melt in there so i didn’t finish eating that one.

Wow! What a fantastic discovery. I just had my first meal from La Mulata and it was a top-notch experience from start to finish. The food was spectacular; I ordered the Ropa vieja and it was easily the best I've ever had. But what truly made the experience was the staff. They were so welcoming and provided service that was both professional and warm. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was so kind and made me feel like a valued guest, not just a customer. If you're looking for genuine Cuban food and an amazing atmosphere, you have to try this place. I'll definitely be back!

This is the only restaurant, as far as I know, anywhere near here that sells authentic Cuban pizza, and for that reason alone you should eat at La Mulata. The pizza is insanely delicious and you will feel like you are in Havana eating it. Get the ham one.

This is a new restaurant and it looks like it might be closed from the outside because it is located in an old, somewhat abandoned looking building set back far from the road, but do not be fooled! It is not abandoned, it is safe and clean. Be brave and go in the door anyway and you will love this little place.

Quickly becoming our favorite place to dine! It's family-owned and they are all super nice and friendly. The food is beyond amazing. (I just had the best tacos I've ever eaten). They also have a nice assortment of mixed drinks as well. Try this place, and you will love it, too!

This place is the real deal! I got spoiled living in Florida for a while, where there is no shortage of great Cuban food. Lansing sorely needed a place like La Mulata Restuarant and I'm so glad they're here. The energy of the staff, the space, and the overall vibe is great, un ambiente acolhedor. I will definitely be back.

I had the Cuban sandwich with fries and my wife had the toasdas. Both were delicious. The staff was excellent and the food was served pretty quickly.
