Welcoming and friendly! Being so close to the Capital it was busy but that brought a whole new level of energy. Most orders were to go which gave me a chance to just sit and enjoy those passing thru!

This is my favorite cafe so far in EL/Lansing. Immaculate vibes that combine the historical with the modern-day whimsy. Handwritten menus, dark wooden furniture, bright overhead bulbs, plenty of natural light from the big windows, decorative shelf full of vintage gadgets and cute crochet friends, and Michigan historical trivia. I also love the curated playlist of 50s-80s classics, as well as pop music reworked into 1920s-style swing and jazz à la Postmodern Jukebox. Incredible...

I went there for the first time today. I ordered the hazelnut latte (Which is really good!). The staff where nice, the wait was pretty quick. This is a great choice if you like supporting local small businesses. I will be going again.
