Guy took my order, I put money in the tip jar he walked away didn’t tell anyone about my order. Someone finally walked out and said oh he forgot about you. Didn’t get an apology or anything. Definitely not as good as it used to be

It sad to experience this at Tropical Cafe, I am a long time costumer and I can name every store from Lansing to Jackson. Staff at the store on Lake Lansing knows me by name.However the store here at S. Ceder is the worse costumer service in town. Lack of professionalism, lack of politeness but full of attitude. This does not represent the moral and ethics of Tropical Cafe. Food wrap on the counter, I am the only costumer in the Store waiting for over 10 min and I can hear the fun party and laughing in the back but I did not received my food until I asked for.VERY DISAPPOINTED AND THE LAST TIME I WASTE MY TIME IN THIS STORE.

If you like a bunch of sassy attitude with your foo this is the place for you. Not only will you get attitude you can almost guarantee it will be a rude interaction. I've been her several time at lunch and if the was an F to be handed out for service this place takes the cake.

I get tropical smoothie all the time. I entered the building with and order to place and asked since I had been driving a long way if I can use rhe bathroom and was told by that i had to place my order first before i could use the bathroom. As a 60 year old man i feel that was a little much. I didn’t look like a bum. Either way I guess you dont need my 75 to 100 dollar a day orders for my customers. Pharma rep.

My grandson took me here on Friday, December 29, 2023. We were out and about, and we stopped here for lunch. I had the chicken, bacon, ranch Flatbread sandwich! Delicious ? and the Sunrise sunset smoothie. Also delicious. He had the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap with the Bahama Mama smoothie. He loved it! Service was good, and the atmosphere was inviting. The cafe was clean. The bathroom was clean. I would totally recommend this place to eat or just go in for a smoothie.Kid-friendliness: A good place to bring kids. They would have fun, especially with the smoothies.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs. Plenty of room inside to access everything.

This location is terrible. The staff are rude, immature, gossip about each other and customers, and can't seem to ever get an order correct. Then when told the order is incorrect get an attitude instead of being professional and kind to correct the order.I've been to this location four times and every single time something is not made correctly. They make the chicken Cesar salad wrong, twice it has come mixed and without dressing. They attempted to give me someone else door dash order They have made smoothies wrong. I don't know how someone confuses white chocolate and regular chocolate.This is rediculous and I'm confused on why the location manager would put up with such foolishness, unprofessional immature staff, and food that repeatedly goes our incorrectly.I won't return to this location. I'll go to the ones in East Lansing.

I order from tropical smoothie often from the south and west side locations. Today I went to the south location and regret it. The smoothie taste super gross I get the same smoothie every time with energizer and today it just taste nasty.. the quesadilla was ok but still not great. Probably won’t go back to this location even though it’s closest to me.

I had the absolute worst experience at this location which violated my rights by refusing to give me a supervisors name, corporate information, all while they had 4-5 rude, unprofessional and thug like disrespectful unsupervised minors working and breaking Michigan child labor laws. The cashier that helped me was nice at first when I got there around 8:34 pm to get an advertised food item and FREE smoothie. She was finishing up with a customer so I thought and then she started to help me. I don’t eat a lot of meat so she was helping me decide a good item, when a co-worker told her they can’t make any food after 8:40 and turn the ovens off, so she told me I had to just pay for the smoothie after talking for 3 minutes. So, I told her it wasn’t fair to deny me the offer after driving there and getting there before 8:40. So, she went to the back and came back with another co-worker. I had started a TikTok while she was away to see how it would turn out, so when she came out I was laughing and said “I’m doing a TikTok so let’s see how this turns out.” All of a sudden the cashier flips out and started yelling like she was a victim, bipolar mental health patient and everything went downhill. Even her coworkers joined in like gang members and said they were calling the police when they started the entire situation.This is definitely a RACIST establishment and no person of color should go there, as I was the only person of color there with a crowd of people. More happened but I rather not share it.It was only my third visit around 7-8:30ish pm and each time the chairs would be sitting on top of the tables and no one could sit down if they chose to. I would NEVER visit that location again! I’d upload my videos it I could! I will be reporting this location to corporate and the attorney general’s office.
