We went into The Matador today telling them we just moved to Baraga about 8 months ago and have been driving around looking for our favorite pizza spots. Well they are definitely one of our favorites. We loved their crust and how the crust was cooked. Their sauce was very good. And their cheese and toppings had great flavor. We will definitely be going back for more!
We called ahead of opening and they had our pizza ready to go upon the doors being unlocked. Their specialty pizza was delicious: a poblano pepper, bacon and grilled chicken pizza. Definitely nice to get a pizza around town that's not the same old same old.
We were in the area visiting from minnesota and decided to give this place a try,i believe it was the owner who made our delicious pizza I think it was a pesto sauce?? Amazing food and service had a hard time deciding which pizza to get as they all sounded good so did multiple other menu items.we will definitly stop again when we're in the area
