Our annual special trip to the cove did not disappoint! The waiters are just as enthusiastic as they were opening season. It was such a great experience. Food was fresh and of course we got to see the jumping fish from our table. What a special place! I hope it stays open forever. Gluten free options available and staff are knowledgeable.

Just like the other reviews say, the whitefish is wonderful. I liked the portion sizes for the sides, not too big. The mashed potatos were well seasoned and had great texture.
I asked for a side salad and vinegar, my friends when the vinegar that is brought out is good proper balsomic you know you're in a good place.

This restaurant along side the dam at Fishtown has a great view of the dam and Salmon jumping upstream adding to the atmosphere. The exterior is fitting for Historic Fishtown and thus fairly simple. The warm whitefish spread and freshly house made chips were great along with the chowder! A perfect way to take the damp chill off from the weather.

We’ve visited The Cove multiple times, and it’s always a fantastic experience! The food is delicious—I especially loved the pasta—and the views of the waterfalls and the sunset are absolutely breathtaking. It’s such a unique place to enjoy a meal.
The staff is wonderful as well, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the Leelanau Peninsula, I highly, highly recommend stopping by The Cove!

We were seated within the short wait time given. The decor reflected the history of the area and the view out over the river to the distant island was beautiful. The service was quick and friendly. Food (almond & butter whitefish and lobster stuffed whitefish) arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Opted for the homemade cherry pie and was not disappointed, as it was one of the best pieces of cherry pie I've had.

Based on prices we decided to share a lunch. We had the fish dinner. It had two medium sized pieces of fish small spoonful of coleslaw and small handful of fries. Fries cold and hard. Fish was very tasty. Coleslaw was terrible. Server was nice and atmosphere above the dam was nice. Bathroom was super small with a lime outside of it. Most likely wont be back

I had a burger and my hubby had the whitefish. We had a party of six and the waiter was friendly and efficient.

This was a great place to pause and refresh after a morning on the beach. Right after we crossed the street for dessert. Get there as early as you can so you don't have to wait to long. Blessed to take in this small town gem.
