Not the review you think it’s going to be!My girlfriend and I had dinner there this past Saturday. 7 o’clock reservation and we checked in on time, however by the time 8 o’clock rolled around, we still had not been seated and had saw others come in and be seated while we waited. My wife, friend, and I came to the restaurant and we had the nicest server ever. Jennifer was seriously 10/10 in her help with choosing the best steak, to making sure we’re okay, and everything in between. When we come back, which we will because the Maui Steak was delicious, we’ll be hoping we get Jennifer as our server again because she was so awesome.
My experience at J. Alexander’s was overwhelmingly positive, especially when it came to the food. We ordered the smoked salmon dip, the Mexico City spinach queso, the Maui steak, the filet mignon, and the Very Best Chocolate Cake. Every dish was exceptional. The salmon dip, which I initially hesitated to try, ended up being the standout—rich, flavorful, and surprisingly addicting. The tortilla chips were served hot and perfectly crisp.
