I came in looking for bagels unfortunately no bagels they had to cut a lot of stuff when covid hit but I did get a fresh loaf of bread (best loaf of bread I have had in a long long time) very friendly staff (I believe it was the owner) but I will definitely be coming back!!!!

As I remember customer service was quick and friendly. I knew what I wanted from this bakery and came for one thing only.... the onion rolls! If you are making a corn beef sandwich these are the onion rolls to get! They are soft, fragrant, has a nice bite , sweet onions are loaded on the bun! They are the best! I can eat them without the meat. They are made fresh too. So fragrant you can smell them through the bag. I can't wait to get back to Michigan to get some. Hmm maybe I'll have someone send me a care package from my hometown. This is just a review for the onion rolls I can't vouch for anything else but theses onion rolls! Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

I bought a loaf of Miami Bake Shoppe Pumpernickle Bread at Papa Joe's on August 11. Although the bread had a date (presumably a use-by date) of "8 14" on the label, it was inedible on August 12 -- INCREDIBLY DRY and also tasteless. This is my first and last purchase of anything from the Miami Bake Shoppe. When they correct their recipe, they may also want to correct the spelling of "pumpernickel" on the label.
Delicious and fresh baked goods my whole family enjoys, and a number of vegan breads for me. Everything is reasonably priced. This little place is a real gem!

Brings back memories from when this bakery was at 10 Mile and Coolidge in Oak Park at least 30 years ago. Much less selection of product but just as good as I remember. Only downside was the man who was there alone baking and serving. He was not the least bit nice.
