My mom was a Yooper (L'anse area) so I'm pretty picky about pasties. Picked up a beef after a nearby Dr appointment. Wasn't expecting much as most in this area are barely passable as a pastie. This was pretty authentic by my mom's standards; reasonable size and good crust to meat/vegetable ratio. Needed nothing but ketsup on the side. Would be helpful if Airfryer directions were included. Will definitely be back!
I just finished my first (beef) pasty from here… I literally had to call them to let them know that it was the best pasty I’ve ever had in my life. 41 years in Michigan, born and raised and this one is it. Do yourself a favor and go in for some friendliness and the best pasty (and gravy! Sorry yoopers) you’ll ever have.
There has been some places over the years that have popped up that sold pasties down this way but they were never that great. The ones here remind me of what I got from the UP when living up there! Highly recommend!
