Fantastic property. I would've preferred having lunch there as the environment was preppy and pastel like. Our server forgot more water when she said she said she was going to get more or to ask if we wanted any more cocktails after our first round. Not a big deal. I'd recommend for the view for sure.
We have been to Carriage House many, many times. Each time is a delightful experience! Our server, Marcus was really awesome! He was calm, cordial, professional, helpful in suggesting really good choices on the evening specials. And he was efficient and was especially fun to talk to!
The Carriage House is undeniably beautiful, & our dinner was very good. The setting is elegant and polished, perhaps a little more pretentious/formal than my personal taste, but it certainly makes for a lovely evening on Mackinac Island.
The whitefish was outstanding, beautifully prepared, fresh & easily the highlight of the meal. Our service was also wonderful. Everyone who took care of us was kind, polite & attentive, which we greatly appreciated.
