The apple pie ice cream was amazing!
stopped by Kilwins and tried their All-American Two Berry Pie ice cream — absolutely amazing! It was bursting with fresh, fruity flavor and had the perfect creamy texture. You can really taste the quality in every bite. A must-try treat if you’re in the area!
So nice they let you get a half pound. What delicious fudge. Kilwins is a classic. I loved that they gave generous tastes of any fudge of your choosing too! 🍫
There’s a lot of competition for fudge and ice cream on the island, but this place is very classy and their food is delicious. Employees are attentive and helpful so that you make the perfect choice for your indulgence I would definitely recommend this place
Yummy fudge, caramel apples and ice cream.
if you get the key lime fudge and the toasted coconut fudge, and take a bite of each, it is heaven!
Delicious ice cream and fudge with somewhat decent prices for being in Mackinac island. Very friendly staff and a clean environment. No places to sit inside but that just encourages you to explore the wonderful island of Mackinac.
I came to leave my own review, and saw that of another customers (thank you Courtney). I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave a review with my name on it, as I am not sure what Wendy is capable of, knowing this. But decided it was worth sharing.
Wendy denied me service. Refused to serve me. Nor would she allow her employee to serve me. I feel terrible that I put the young lady in that position. She was looking down the entire time Wendy continued her rant, towards me. It was at that point that Wendy let me know her full name, that she was the owner, and that she was refusing to sell me the caramel apples. I lived to be 54 years old, without having ever been denied service. That streak, has been officially broken.
Why??? Because I didn’t like the paper on the bottom of the apple. I couldn’t get it to peel away, without pieces being left behind. I almost always end up eating a piece that I didn’t see was there. When I said this out loud, I should have paid attention to the clue she left me when her snide reply was, “The paper is already on, it’s too late for that.”
How I managed to insult her over a piece of paper on a caramel apple, will never make sense to me. Insulted her?? Once she heard me repeat what I said to my aunt, this was when she lost it. Wendy thought I was speaking under my breath to my aunt. When in fact, I wasn’t telling a secret. I spoke at a normal volume. My aunt and I thought she must be kidding, when she gathered up our apples in her arms, like she was shielding a child from pain. Oh how quickly we both realized, she wasn’t.
I could not sleep last night. I could not catch my breath, which is the clue my body gives me, that I am under stress. The other clue my body gave me is that my psoriatic arthritis flared. My joints were in so much pain, that moving my limbs, felt impossible.
The very last thing I asked Wendy, was why was she being so mean? You want to know her answer???? She said, “Because I am.”
I have messaged Brian Britton, and won’t be stopping there, if he doesn’t reply. I won’t stop until someone from Kilwin’s hears my story.
I was a customer in the store today (06/10/2025), when I witnessed the owner berate another customer, over a caramel apple. How an owner of a business can be insulted by a customer’s preference of a piece of paper under a caramel apple, is mind blowing. I for one, will never return.
Fudge was great but found a piece of glass in a square of the regular fudge. Not good and thank goodness it wasn’t given to a child. I understand things happen but someone had to know that something was broken.

Absolutely loved the lemon fudge! Have never seen that flavor before and it was such a crisp lemon flavor. Of course the other fudge is amazing also. And they have a great staff.

This is my wife's favorite fudge shop on the island. We've never had a bad fudge from here. The caramel apples are great too!

The staff were very friendly. There was a long line but it moved quickly. The ice cream was delicious! I had cookies and cream in a waffle cone and my husband had Mackinac Island fudge. It was a bit pricy but as expected.
