Not service animal friendly. Walked in with our clearly identifiable service dog & requested seating on the outdoor patio. First staff member asked if dog was service dog & what disability she provided a service for. I replied you can’t ask disability but this is the service she provides. She rolled her eyes & turned to 2nd staff member, who then asked me the same exact question. I again stated you can’t ask disability per ADA but this is the service the dog provides. Great Turtle Brewery & Distillery provides a friendly atmosphere for dining, especially outside. The chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun and tacos were tasty, as were the fries. The beer and spirit flights, including the painted turtle flight, are worth trying. The brisket is top-notch. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience enjoyable. The restaurant is dog-friendly on the patio, making it a great spot for visitors to the island. Customers appreciated the quick service, especially MacKenzie, who was super attentive, kept glasses filled, and checked on diners often. The pretzel was delicious, and the overall experience was highly positive, with many noting the friendly staff and good drinks.
