Excellent dinner at Millie’s on Main for a group of 3 for their last night of the season. We were sat quickly at a table within a few minutes. Food was perfect. We shared a combination of appetizers & entrees. Service was very attentive and quick. We enjoyed the buffalo wings, beef pastie, meatloaf sliders, and the whitefish tacos. Our top two were the meatloaf sliders and the whitefish tacos! Both were excellent in their own right. Would absolutely recommend a meal at Millie’s during your 2026 visit to Mackinac Island!

I was excited to eat here. I have never complained about a food portion in all my years of dining out, and I have dined in a ton of restaurants - upscale, fast food and everything in between. The portion of fish for almost $30 was incredibly small. It was truly appetizer-sized. Tons of fries, but I didn't order a dinner for the fries. And within that small serving was the thinnest filet of fish I've ever eaten. I don't eat much typically, and I quickly shared my disappointment about the meal size with the waitress, who stated that she didn't have any control over what came out of the kitchen. I didn't ask her to control that, while I would have appreciated some interest in ensuring I was satisfied with my meal. She never returned to our table until we were done our meals - no check in to ask how the food tasted. The cocktail I ordered was good. Given this experience, I'd never return here. If the waitress seemed to care about my disappointment, I would have given a better rating - this situation wasn't handled professionally.

We got a beef pastie, chicken salad sandwich and French onion soup. Tasty for sure, but was definitely pub/bar food. We were not disappointed, but after eating at other restaurants around town, I think we may skip it next time. I actually did enjoy the chicken salad sandwich, soft bread, sweet cherries and celery mixed in for a good crunch! Staff was nice, and it was busy---so people must really like it.

We had dinner here one night on island and were able to pop in and be seated right away at the bar. Great menu, and selection of craft drinks. The staff were lovely and the whitefish chowder is a must!
Very good, a little noisy. Some sound deadening perhaps, I know fire marshels are stricter.

On a recent visit to Mackinac Island, my family and I had dinner one evening at Millie's on Main. We waited about 15 minutes for a table which seemed very reasonable given the holiday weekend. The seating is typical of an old pub. We sat in a compact, wooden booth opposite the bar. Our waitress was great ... she was both welcoming and casual yet efficient. Like seeing an old friend. She answered all of our questions quickly and thoughtfully. Drinks and apps came out quick. We split an order of truffle fries for the appetizer. These were 10/10 amazing ... and I highly recommend them if you get the chance. For my entree, I enjoyed the NY strip ...med-rare. It came out perfectly seasoned and cooked with a hot pink center. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were just the right size portions. Restrooms were clean. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Millie's and will definitely return next time we visit the island. Loved seeing the vintage photo of the bar from the 1880's - 1890's hanging up.

Service so terrible we left before we had a chance to place an order. Waiter yelled at our 7 year old for touching the pepper grinder before we even had a chance to be served. Do NOT go here if you have kids in your group, definitely not kid friendly.
