We chose the Seabisquit Cafe for breakfast on our last day after walking past it several times. It's upscale decor of dark wood and brick, bar, booths and horse decor brought us in. The menu posted on the window showed the higher end of the breakfast price range. It was our last breakfast on the island so we stopped in. Friendly staff, good coffee and...my eggs, shredded potatoes, maple cured thick bacon, and large rye toast slices was the perfect breakfast. I really mean it!

Best food we had on the island, hands down. The parmesan crusted whitefish was phenomenal. My husband sat at the small bar area, and the servers were very attentive and friendly, as were the "locals" they attracted there. Didn't try a "chambong", but we were tempted!

This was our last stop before leaving the Island and it was definitely a good why to end our trip. The fod was fantastic and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. We tried things we normally wouldn't have with their recommendations!

My friend and I came here for dinner, and it was magnificent! The atmosphere is very cozy, and the lobster rolls we ordered were absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful, very attentive, friendly, and fast. I have tried many restaurants on Mackinac Island, and this meal was hands-down the best one I have had here.

I took the family for dinner. The butternut squash bisque is delicious. My main course of whitefish was cooked perfectly.
My margarita was spot-on. One daughter had the lobster rolls and the other had the painted pony macaroni. Both were excellent.
I must say, all plates were generously sized.
Desert was Creme Brule, which was also delicious.
Overall, an excellent meal!

This was a fun stop for lunch. Right in the middle of town, not too far from the ferry. The atmosphere felt like an old fashioned bar. The sandwiches were great.

The food and service was great! We got the Painted Pony macaroni bites for the appetizer, and I got the turkey croissant for my lunch. There is limited seating in the restaurant, but otherwise everything else was fantastic!

Parking: Parking for bikes along the street. No vehicles are allowed on the island.

What a great place for a delicious meal on Mackinaw Island! We discovered The Seabicuit Cafe in 2016 and it has been a must ever since when dining on the Island. The atmosphere is warm and lends itself to the experience. The wait staff is prompt and attentive which is great because they are always busy. On this recent lunch we had a burger and the whitefish and chips; both very good. Eric was our waiter on this visit and he was excellent.

We had a great time at the Seabiscuit for drinks, apps, and dinner! Our bartender, Eric, made delicious cocktails for my boyfriend and me (I definitely stole sips from my boyfriend’s espresso martini). I couldn’t believe how huge the parmesan crusted whitefish was!
