Breakfast on Mackinac Island.....The Chuckwagon restaurant is convenient, friendly, excellent breakfast, hot and tastes great with large portions and reasonable prices. Be there before 11 a.m. when they close in preparation for lunch. Small diner with counter seating and some tables. Perfect location on main street. Enjoy.

The island is expensive but this place is great on your wallet!!! My hamburger and French fries were so good! My significant other got the patty melt and it was a tasty treat as well. The fries were crispy and the coke to drink was on point. Not everyone wants a fine dining experience and this greasy spoon was what we wanted! Felt like real life Bob’s Burgers!

It is a little cramped inside but we sat down, ate, paid, and were out of there in 15 minutes! Food was what you think of for typical diner breakfast. I'm glad we decided to come here. My bacon was room temperature as it was pre-made and sitting on the side of the griddle but that is the only thing I disliked!

NOTE: CASH ONLY Best Burger on the island! We had a cheeseburger and it was delicious! Served on a pretzel bun, it was perfectly cooked, prepared quickly and served with a smile. The owners have been here for 16 years and run a fabulous business. A definite yes for a quick lunch on the island!

Was just on Mackinac this past week. Stopped in for lunch with 2 of my nieces on Wednesday. It was amazing. So good we came back on Thursday. Hands down best burgers on Mackinac. Service is amazing as well so efficient! Highly recommend stopping for breakfast or lunch!
