We came here on a trip to the island and left satisfied. Prime rib is a must have. Kevin was a great server. Also they give you bread!

We walked around the main drag of the island looking for somewhere to get dinner and this place had some amazing options. We had the most amazing server, Yvette. She was so personable and took great care of us. She was on top of our drinks and got us everything we needed. The food was so good. We had the Chilean bass and the mac and cheese and both were so rich with taste. We had a great time and would definitely go back next time we are on the island. Thank you Yvette for a great evening!

fantastic food! great service. Yvette was the best server.
Too much went wrong for a higher rating.
Beer on the menu of draft choices but they don't have it. 5 or 6 booths open (the entire time in the restaurant) and the host woman states the area is closed. Host woman was swatting/zapping hordes of flies against the glass. Stuffy, warm environment needs some ventilation. Sign outside states the lunch special as pulled pork, but it was actually pulled chicken.
Pot roast sliders, fries, and grilled cheese weren't too bad.
Wouldn't likely return due to all the issues.

The walleye was particularly nice. Superb presentation and slightly innovative without taking away from the fish is myself.

Best scallops and risotto in Michigan period! My son makes the same claim for the filet mignon. One of the Islands best! We eat there all we can.

Atmosphere was nice, our server was very good but never asked if we wanted a refills on our drinks. My wifes meal, the zucchini ravioli, was very good. My meal, the drumbrue scallops with risotto was ok. Scallops were very good but the risotto was a ok but not great. Too much sauce and a little mushy.

Yankee Rebel is a must. Very fairly priced and portions are generous. The staff is outstanding, esp Nikki. This is a locally owned restaurant. Horn's is also owned by the same people. Steve and PattiAnn are definitely standouts in the Mackinac Island community. My favorite dish on all of Mackinac is the drambuie scallops!

We have two kids with Celiac which makes going out to eat difficult (strict no gluten/cross contamination). I called ahead and I spoke with a food safety trained person who was knowledgeable of cross contamination and such and assured me they could accommodate. My kids were able to have burgers on a GF bun with GF chips. The server relayed our needs to the cooking staff, ensured clean, separate equipment was used, gave us an unopened bottle of ketchup, and used an unopened bag of chips. My kids didnât have any signs of being glutened and they said they were the best burgers they have had. Highly recommend, especially if you have these dietary restrictions.

Iâve been here before and was so excited to go back because the food was great. Iâm so disappointed with how incredibly rude the hostess was, her attitude was unacceptable and I couldnât imagine rolling my eyes at a customer. She was so rude that I decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. Busy day on the island and there were only 2 tables sat so seems like theyâre on their way out anyways. I personally wonât ever go back.

We visited this restaurant last week during our second family trip to the island this summer with a large group of 17 people â 7 kids at one table and 8 adults at another, right next to each other. Our server, John, made it very clear from the start that he was not happy to serve us.
From the moment we began figuring out who was on which check, he snapped at us multiple times about not caring about that and heâd figure it out. When my mother-in-law asked if the steak appetizer was enough for a meal, he seemed confused. She clarified by saying, âThe steak, itâs the appetizer,â to which he responded, âIâm aware that the steak is an appetizer, I know the menu maâamâ what is your question?â. When we got our food instead of asking if there was anything we needed he just kept yelling at the group âwhat else can I drag, people? Come on, come onâ
Two of the kidsâ meals never arrived. By the time we were all finished eating, my sister-in-law asked to have them removed from the bill. Instead of apologizing, he argued and said heâd bring them out, and when she declined (since her child had already eaten a siblingâs meal), he rolled his eyes and mumbled something about having to ask the manager as he walked away.
The entire experience felt like we were at one of those restaurants where the staff is intentionally rude â except this wasnât meant to be part of the fun. It was simply horrible service. The food was okay, but the service from our waiter was obnoxiously unprofessional.
