We went to have our usual first meal when we arrived yesterday, Memorial Day, and it's closed! Please say it ain't so. We peered into the window and everything was off the walls, tables scattered and ceiling tiles on the floor. So disappointing.
Stopped in for a quick meal before heading to Mackinac island. Stopped in around 1030 and they weren't serving lunch until after 11 something. We ordered a pasty and it wasn't anything special. It was okay at best. We had to pay $2 extra to share meal as well which I wasn't thrilled about. I understand they have additional work in dishes if they bring 2 plates but we didn't ask for 2 plates. They wouldn't allow one person to order and a 2nd person to not...
The food was excellent. Had fish basket and my husband had the shrimp basket. The fish was really, really good. I'm picky about my fish. Don't like strong fishy taste and this was great. My husband's shrimp were really good too. Our waitress was very helpful and nice. Would certainly go back.
