“whoever "mom" is, we love you. we love this establishment and the hospitality it provided us. we frequent the area often and took our friends and employees on a trip up north to see the leaves and lights. I get bad anxiety in vehicles so we stopped here to get a drink before I made the long haul to the UP. My ex-husband gave us limited time but when we got there it was jamming. the hostess looked at "mom" and asked if she could accommodate us quickly. "MOM" didn't only accommodate us, she represented the company so well that forever more I'll say "mom's place." I love you, mom.“

“We just got married at Mission Point on July 4, 2025 and had the best experience!! Julie Suddon and Charlotte Mills and the entire staff were incredible. Julie was super responsive and sweet from start to finish. Super easy to work with and just a nice person. She transitioned us to Charlotte Mills to do the actual planning and the transition was super smooth with tons of communication. Charlotte was equally impressive. Her communication was great from start to finish as well and fantastic for our rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Just super smooth from touring to actually getting married. We were so thankful for the wonderful and professional communication which eased any stress we could’ve otherwise had! We are so happy we decided to choose Mission Point and recommend anyone do the same if looking to get married on Mackinac Island!! Food was great, bartender was great, the vendors were chose were all on the suggested vendor list which made things super, super easy! Just so smooth, cannot say that enough! “We very much enjoyed our time at The Grand Hotel. The front porch was amazing for afternoon drinks and relaxing. Shout out to James Tan, our absolute favorite server! We stayed at The Grand with friends for a week! We enjoyed meals at the Jockey Club and loved The Woods!! The staff was mostly attentive, I think the concierge team could do a bit better at being nice. The only complaint I have is dinner in the main dining room. We wanted the experience and got all dolled up one night. Drinks on the porch were great! Dinner was terrible and the service was terrible. I understand it’s a commitment and that’s part of the experience, but our waiter never came around and asked how our meals were after serving us and waited too long between courses. I could see him having a good time laughing and flirting with a coworker when he should have been attending to his patrons. I would recommend The Grand! We absolutely had an amazing week. I would never have dinner in the main dining room again. There are too many great restaurants on the island. You don’t need to settle for bad food and service.“
