I got the breakfast pastie and it was pretty mediocre, I didn't hate it but I wasn't in love, but my god the dude working was really nice, my friend had called to see if they were open and when we expressed interest in coffee he put on a fresh pot for us so it'd be ready when we got there. The coffee was pretty standard, but wasn't bad, the vibes were great tho, there is a cute lil heater, clean bathrooms, and just overall homey.

The best pasties in Mackinaw City! There's almost always a wait during peak times so plan accordingly. You can buy hot pasties or frozen to take home and bake later. We got the traditional beef pastie meal with coleslaw and a cookie. Everything was fantastic. There's a small sitting area in the restaurant or you can take your food to go. We went to a nearby park to eat.

This place has a cozy log cabin vibe and friendly employees.Vegetarian options: It’s nice that a vegetarian option is available. It sounds really good. I have not tried it yet, but purchased a frozen one along with some beef and chicken pasties to take home.

I have gotten pasties & slaw , from here for a couple of years, and liked them very much. . Idk why it changed, but, this time , it was not a pastie , I'd want again. It was sooo oily , vegetables were minced too small, crust was not flaky at all, hardly had anything but potato in it (If that was rutabaga... it sure was a flavorless one!), and the Cole slaw had an unusual, weird, unlikeable ( to me ) flavor to it . If the manager/ owner ? would of told me what seasonings were in the slaw, it may of been a personal preference . But , she curtly told me it was their own secret recipe . So, maybe I just got some spoiling slaw ... I'll never know.
