I had a breakfast pastie. It was delicious. I did not take the hint that I should have a fork because I asked if I could eat it with my hands as I was driving. The answer was yes, take the fork, it was a very messy meal but I enjoyed every bite. Definitely stop here if in Mackinaw or passing through of the Upper Peninsula
We got our Pasties to go. They offer a small cooler for 6.99 to transport them home in. I decided to get one and my pasties traveled well on the 5 hour drive home. They have a cheese pastie that I decided to try and that one I ate in the car on the way home. I chose that one because it didnt need gravy. It was very good. I brought home 3 beef, 2 breakfast and one cheese pastie that my husband said we're very good. I did not buy gravy on site we just got packets from the local...
We have had pasties all over michigan, both the upper and lower peninsulas. These are by far the best!!! My husband is a pastie lover, I am on the fence about eating them. These ones put me on the pastie side of the fence. Very good, tender crust that wasn't thick and chewy. We will get them again for sure.
