We called at 5 pm on a Monday to place a takeout order, and the person on the other end of the phone screamed to somebody else to check if that was okay, took our order, and then hung up the phone. We didn't bother calling back as it was a really unpleasant experience.

Were in wed afternoon/evening, server was absolutely horrible. Sat there while she took orders from those who came in after us. Put her finger in my husband's face while he was asking her a question, about our bill. Needless to say, she only got a Buck fifty tip, and they were not even busy, just a few in the place. For places that depends on business, and for the people that work in these places, whom depend on the tourist whom visit, and depend on our money, to support you, some of you really, really suck. Dont think we will ever come back to Mackinaw again.

The food is good! Expect an expensive outing though! The whiskey mule is great!! I got a burger and my husband got a chicken sandwich and there were no complaints. The burger was made just as ordered! The chips were a little soggy, but were fine.

My wife and I were out looking for a place to each and the yelp review only gave this place a 3 star rating but it was the fastest place to each. We sat down outside and ordered. When the food came it looked good but when we stated to eat the food great. Every bite was great. Try this place out I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Alex was great with surprising me with a cocktail when I wasn't sure what I wanted. Great with making conversation with a bunch of older ladies. Made our vacation all the more fun!

We went here the night of my wedding with a group of 10-15 people to celebrate. I noticed when getting our green tea shots the bartender also always gave himself one without putting extra alcohol in so in turn our shots were weaker but cost a lot. Then throughout the night my friends noticed the prices were changing. The night started with $4.50 beers and ended with $6.50 beers. Also my husband and I left at 11:30 and our friends stayed celebrating but the bartender didn’t listen to the law and served them after 2AM without cutting them off which I didn’t appreciate, he also tried to fight my friend at the end of the night probably because he was drunk taking so many shots with them while he was working.I’ve been a bartender, I understand how people are when drunk, if they were too much they should have been sent home not given more. I also know not to drink so much while working. Everything was a mess and my husband and I had to deal with it at 3 in the morning on our wedding night. The entire experience with mackinaw was a nightmare save your money and peace of mind and go somewhere else!PS the Dixie saloon on the other side was a nightmare also, you can go read that review too.

Stopped here for food/drinks. It was a big disappointment!! Food was boring, nothing to brag about, not great!! The staff was friendly, but seemed to be more of a social club amongst each other than focusing on the patrons…. This place is hooked onto the Dixie Saloon, the entire place needs an overhaul, not the cleanest establishment… I sat at the bar, was overwhelmed by the fruit flies unfortunately! I wanted to like this place and seem it could possibly be a fun place if they get their act together!! Most of all, it was way overpriced for what we had… The only positive thing I would say is that the beer was good and our bartender was friendly! For now, stay away!!

If James is working, he likes to give out drinks for fair price, then towards the end of the night it turns doubled! Never been to a bar like that! And on top of that, if you wanna watch the bartender serve everyone else but you, come here!!! And free arm wrestling matches with the bartender so he can take a shot on your tab!!! Lovely place if you don’t care about money!Wheelchair accessibility: Forced to have a wheel chair ramp because there on street level

Been here twice. Both times got treated like they didn't want us there. Literally sat there 10 minutes and watched several people walk by us like we were not even there. Don't want to say it's racist but that's just the feeling we got BOTH TIMES! Also this is Old Doxie Saloon.

Definitely not an Irish pub. I should have known when they didn't have Smithwick's on tap to just leave but we'd been wanting to try this pub since we first saw it. The menu is from the bar next door and they have a few Irish meals listed on the napkin holder. I ordered "Irish Stew Over Biscuits". What I got was three biscuits with a small ladle of canned stew (think Dinty Moore") over them. It was not an $18 meal which is what they charged. I told the waiter how disappointed I was but he mostly ignored my comment. My wife ordered a Reuben with extra sauerkraut. The sandwich came with no sauerkraut at all. We complained about the missing sauerkraut and finally a small cup of kraut was brought out. She was nearly done by the time it arrived. I'm pretty sure he realized his tip was going to suck because he never came back. We each had a beer and a meal and we split a shot of Jameson. The total was a bit over $67. Way too much for what we received.

Understaffed!! The very friendly bartender serves drinks, hands out menus, puts in food orders, serves food, all with a smile on his face. The one waitress we saw didn't do anything but stomp around the restaurant, muttered things with a grouchy face, and left out the back door. The menu on Yelp shows plenty of Irish options but the reality is that you are handed a menu from the Dixie Saloon next door with barely a hint of Irish. It's too bad...we liked the atmosphere but decided to finish our drinks and go elsewhere.

Caesar Salad was really good, creamy sauce, garlic croutons and very tasty grilled chicken breast. Fish and chips very nice, crispy and tasty fish fillet, good sauces and fries. Burger with crispy fish was also very good. Everything super fresh and very yummy. It is a pub so they also have a lot of beverage options. Mai Tai and Aperol Spritz tasted really good. If you don’t like alcohol fresh lemon juice was also very good, just like the best lemonade. Costumer service is very nice, everyone is smiling and friendly. Great bartender with good skills. Highly recommend this place, they have a lot of drink and food options so I think every single person will find something to eat or drink here.Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options to choose from.

Quieter bar side of Dixie Saloon. At first we thought it was a different store but apparently theyre connected at the back and serve the same food. The dixie saloon is always full/crowded so its nice to go here bec there are less people. We were able to sit immediately.Food is good. I liked their signature mac n cheese in nachos. Very creamy cheese. The chicken were tasty and freshly cooked. I tried the blueberry ale which is light beer with fresh blueberries. It feels like a popping boba that cancels out the slight bitterness of the beer. Interesting but nothing too fancy. Expect to spend around 30$-40$ per person if ur getting one meal and a drink since a order of the mains is already around 25-28$ and beers around 7-9$ + ur tax and tipsParking: You can park nearby at the street
