The White Buffalo Bar & Grille

I love the White Buffalo. It’s my favorite place to eat. The food is phenomenal the service is phenomenal and the bartenders Jill and Laura are so much fun to talk to and they love seeing my parents and me. This was before September.

Checked all the boxes. We waited about five minutes to be seated, drinks and appetizers came quickly, our entries were served hot and delicious. For us it was expensive, we joked about what we would be eating next month. We were vacationing and this was our one splurge of the trip. We love to travel, and we do it on the cheap.

Delicious bison burger with a mountain of crispy fries $18 and huge fully adorned spinach salad $8 with cranberries, feta and candied pecans. Cheboygan Blood Orange beer was a winner!

This place was a 5 star for me. Our waitress was attentive, the food absolutely delicious (all three of us enjoyed our different meals with no complaints), unique menu choices, michigan art work that was intriguing and beautiful, and the BATHROOMS!! Love them. So clean and nicely renovated. I got the parm crusted walleye. The flavor of the rice with the sauce wowed me. The green beans were so tender, buttery, and fresh. The walleye was also great. This restaurant has to be part of your trip itinerary.

Took forever to get our appetizers. People who ordered after us got there appetizers before us. Questioned the waitress and she was like, oh yeah your food will be out soon. Appetizers came then our main meal almost immediately after. When the main meals came out she told us that they where totally out of what I had ordered. I didn't order anything to replace that order because God only knows how long that would have taken. Then when she dropped off the bill she told us that the food they were out of she took off the bill....duh as should have happened since we didn't receive that food item. She did take 10% off the bill. I think that she forgot to put our food order in and then was scrambling afterwards. Lousy waitress!! The food that we did received was very good.

Was excited to try based on online review. Was not impressed. Food was just ok and the waiter was not very happy to be there.

Good food and reasonable cost. I went twice and had a bison burger once, a pasta dish with andoli sausage and shrimp with creole sauce. My wife was able to get a vegan meal, they're also.

We are here on vacation so we stopped in for dinner and I had the bbq rib dinner it was really good and tasty and the lemon drop martini was so good. Service was a little slow but she was busy so we understood and it was worth the wait.
