After years of ordering BLT Gluten Free pizza. They not only refuse to make it they denied they ever made it for me in the past.
I would not recommend this place if you are gf as they have proven not to be trust worthy. It saddens me as I had helped spread the word for them. 💔

This place was awful. I ordered a pizza and salad and was given a plastic tub of shredded lettuce with random condiments thrown in. The pizza was even worse, this place is supposedly “praised for its Chicago-style pies,” but what I got was a misshapen, uneven, mess of cheese that slid off when I tried to even pull a slice apart. The pizza is cut as if the workers had never learned basic geometry of an even circle, and some of the crust doesn’t even match up to the rest of the pizza. It’s almost as if they added a slice or two to complete the circle. Not to mention the dough is about a millimeter thin so I am not surprised none of the cheese and toppings stayed on top. Also this place is crazy overpriced, a regular pizza and salad should not be $25, especially if they continue planning on serving this slop. I am not from the area but this is easily the worst, overpriced pizza I have ever been served and I will make sure to inform others who travel to the Manistee area not to come here. Do better “Al.”

Husband and I camping by the Casino decided to try Big Al’s restaurant, not 15 min away, called order in for 2 sub sandwiches. This place has been serving the public for over 50 years and has a cult following from the locals. Plenty of parking, has a deck with picnic tables with umbrellas to dine outside, or dine inside. Large menu with many food choices to choose from. They do a great carry out business, they have lots of employees working to keep the orders filled. Our phone in order was waiting for us, prices so reasonable. Our sandwiches turned out to be just delicious, plenty of meat and cheese, fresh veggies and the bread was fresh and yummy. Give this place a try, we will be reordering again, soon!! Debbie

We are travelers sampling all the local pizza places. Big Al's did not disappoint! In fact we loved it so much we would rank it in our top two in all of our US travels. Definitely the best pizza in Michigan. Each of the ingredients standout. Sauce, dough, cheese, pepperoni, meatballs. Wow

Absolutely phenomenal pizza. Loaded with your topping. We got a deep dish with extra cheese, black olives and pepperoni and it was so amazing. We were from out of town but id definitely recommend to everyone.
Filthy inside and the pizza was so greasy that we threw most of it away. A person in the back dropped pizza boxes on the nasty floor and picked them all back up and still used them.

We were really surprised about the vegetarian options, which is usually hard to find around here. So we got the veggie wrap, veggie sub and garden deluxe salad, all tasted really good and had lots of fresh veggies. Prices are really affordable, both the sub and wrap were a full sized meal and under 10$. The workers were friendly and while the place definitely looks a little outdated, everything was really clean. We loved all the vending machines with toys and stickers inside, super fun!
