Had a reservation for 4 @6:30. Had 2 appetizers which were good. Ordered our entrees. Server came back to tell us that they were out of potatoes which were part of the $49.95 filet entree. Our other option given to the Yukon Gold potatoes were potato chips. I told them I would go to the store and buy them some potatoes, they didn’t take me up on that offer. They said with the chips came asparagus. When our meals came, no asparagus, but broccoli. Maybe the Blue Fish doesn’t know the difference, they are both green. In ending our meals were good, even the $49.95 filet and chips, no apologies offered nor discounts given. The Blue Fish is off my dining list as of now.

Nice place, we go there often and like the food. The service is sometimes slow and lackluster. But food is usually good. GREAT bread and garlic butter!

Being a former executive chef in Detroit, I try to leave any criticism on a level to learn from in a review. I recently had the Walleye with Asparagus and Risotto. Everything except the pricey fish was perfectly prepared. The Walleye was so dry and leathery towards the thinner part, it was inedible. I could not eat it. Because my dining companion was picking up the tab, I waited to send a private message to Bluefish myself. Which they read..and ignored. Crickets. So...When I meet with clients in the future, I shall choose a different restaurant.

The restaurant is beautiful, love the artwork and location, but was very displeased with service and food. We were only able to get one drink before our check came, in the mean time, it took about an hour for our food to come out. I do understand mix ups happening, but the fact that our server didn’t come by our table till our food was brought out to ask for more drinks or even apologize for the wait was disappointing. I was also charged for a full bowl of soup with the grilled cheese lunch, which does not state on the menu the soup was extra. Just all around unhappy we spent almost $100 for dry fish and lack of compassion for the slow service. Beer and Bloody Mary were great. Would try again to give them a shot, it seems many in reviews love the place.

Cubano sandwich fairly expensive and not worth the price.

We stopped here on our way home and was pleasantly surprised by one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The dishes tasted better than they looked. The laid back high end atmosphere was only made better by the exceptional service. I can't wait to stop in again the next time we are in town.

My wife and I recently went to Bluefish to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, looking for someplace "special" to mark the occasion. The restaurant did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, our host made us feel special, and the food was terrific. We will return soon.

Food was quite average and for tiny portions (i am a 5’3, 118 pounds female) they charge quite a bit.We left still hungry after paying $120. Service was pretty bad (our server messed up many times). The place was so dark we couldn’t even read the menu. Unfortunately not recommending this place.

We so wanted to love this place but the food fell very short. The hostess was a bit grouchy and it seemed she just didn't want to be there but our server was absolutely lovely and provided excellent service! We were excited when the pierogis came out because they were totally delish! But then...the French onion soup was flavorless and needed seasoning, the kale salad needed dressing (my husband didn't even touch his), the filet was very undercooked (we had to send it back to get refired) the potatoes were dry, the butternut squash was undercooked and crunchy, my fish was very overcooked and chewy and the edges were dry and crusty, the risotto was overcooked...so $178 later (and only one cocktail) we left feeling very disappointed (except for the lovely server!). I hope my review helps the kitchen/owner/manager!

Very nice decor. Spacious seating. Service was acceptable. However 2 of 3 entries were cold and had to b sent back. This was with 5 tables seated for lunch in a place that holds over 400, so being busy wasn’t the reason.
