Excellent service. Food was amazing! All fresh ingredients and the Greek owner cooks everything herself. The pizza menu looked amazing, but this time we opted for Mediterranean dishes and weren’t disappointed! This place can be easily overshadowed by the restaurant next door but don’t let that happen because you will have missed out on a great experience! We are glad we discovered it!

We were visiting Manistee and a local person suggested the Golden Stag. Excellent restaurant and the dishes are high quality. From the apps, to the perch, all you can eat pasta special, and their chicken dishes. Owners are hands on and welcoming and the atmosphere is warm. Homemade cobbler by the owner was lights out. looking forward to returning!

The bar was beautiful. Went during February so we got the chocolate fondue it was absolutely adorable and delicious. Our server Michelle did a great job and really made the experience great. Pasta was amazing as well, drinks and specials were amazing! Definitely would recommend.

Pretty good pizza. The "Mediterranean Trio" was a nice quality surprise. Good atmosphere, maybe a little crowded in the layout (But it was fine). Prices were a little high for what you get, but not totally unreasonable in this economy. Service was weird. We sat at the bar and listened to a server badmouth another customer. They weren't wrong: the customer was a meathead jerk who was trying to get the exact ounces of each steak so he could figure out how he could get the most meat for his money. The dude was a complete tool, so I don't blame the wait staff...but it wasn't very professional within earshot of other customers either. I'd go again, if only for some good pizza and drinks.

The first time we went was only three weeks after opening. We weren’t impressed. We gave it another try last month and holy smokes it was delicious! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere in the main room. The other room could use some ambience with some art or something and the bathrooms, although clean, could use some updates. We continue to return for the fantastic food and just ask to be seated in the main room with the bar!Vegetarian options: They have many pasta dishes that can easily be made without a protein.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu to my knowledge, but children are welcomeWheelchair accessibility: No steps or stairs to get into the restaurant or to navigate, large accessible bathroom stall

First time tonight because so many friends recommended it. We arrived at 6:15 and sat for 10 minutes before we even got water and another 20 before drink orders were even taken. They were obviously short staffed. I get that, but no manager helping, food was being brought out on trays by kitchen staff who would stand behind the poor waitress while she was trying to take orders, etc. she was overwhelmed and the whole place was very disorganized. Food was good, so I’ll chalk it up to a bad night and try again..

Wonderful casual fine dining. One of the best restaurants on the lakeshore. I had the Bee Sting Pizza, others in my group had various chicken or pasta dishes which everyone loved. The baklava a la mode is a dream.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the area! They nail the trifecta. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and polite, and the food is INCREDIBLE! The presentation is superb and the generous helpings are delicious from the first to the last bite. You WILL NOT be disappointed and like us, you will plan to return again and again. Thank you, owners: Jay and Laura for elevating our dining experience!

Had the Shish Tawook, unfortunately the chicken was dry and had zero flavour. The Mediterranean Trio appetizer was very good. Such a small seating area felt a bit boxed in. The drinks took a while to arrive. Was hoping for a better entree experience. Will try again for sure.

What a Great new place in Downtown Manistee. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy, such a great atmosphere. Excellent and different variety of dishes, a much needed change around here, not the typical stuff, but you can still get a Pizza so you cansatify everyone! We went for New Years Eve dinner with another couple. We each got different dishes and they were fantastic. Lemon Chicken Piccata, Shish Tawook, Lamb Chops, & Chicken Verdura Fresca. We all loved it, lots of food, excellent presentation and flavor. My one critique is, in a fine dining establishment like this, your food should never come while you are eating your salad. That made us feel rushed and my husband had to take his to go.Also the greek salad was excellent, but it needs to be in a larger bowl. The bowl is small and deep, but it was stuffed, which we appreciated, but you cannot mix it without losing half your salad on the table. The greek dressing is off the hook good too.We will definitely be back :)

Delightful dinner experience. After a chilly day walking around Manistee, my wife and I stopped in and had a lovely meal. To start off, my Greek side salad was delicious with fresh greens, nice veggies, delicious feta cheese and a very tasty Greek dressing. My entree was their remarkable Prosciutto & Fig pizza (which we learned was a restaurant recipe). The sweet and the savory was very balanced and the crust was puffy pillowy perfection - not kidding! My wife is vegan and she had some lovely options to choose from. She chose the garden salad that was fresh and bright and the vinaigrette that came with was very nice. Her entree was Lola’s Vegan Peppers and she was pleased with the textures and flavors throughout. The owner’s wife was our server and she was a delight. The restaurant has a lovely cozy feel to it as it has warm lighting, great background music and this historic preservationist loves the fact that it sits within the historic district; it has those beautiful brick walls inside and it really adds to the cozy feel of the restaurant. We’ll go back for sure. The restaurant was busy and rightfully so. Great place.Dietary restrictions: Great vegan and gluten free options

One of the newer additions to downtown Manistee’s food scene, their menu is a breath of fresh air. Even a much done dish such as pizza rises to new levels in their wood fired oven. A killer Negroni and on point Mediterranean Trio appetizer were unexpected Wows! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu offerings.
